If you have no problem clicking a few buttons with your mouse, you can disable it within 3-4 clicks.

Follow the below steps:

1. Right-click on the Google Translate Icon

2. Click on the Inspect button at the very bottom of the pop-up menu.

3. A sidebar (Developer Tools) will open on your browser window looking the same as below.

As you see, there's one line that is highlighted with a semi-blue background. That's what you need to care about.

4. Right-click on the highlighted line that you see in the sidebar (Developer Tools) and it will open a hovering menu with various options.

5. Click on the Delete Element option in the hovering menu that appears.

BAM! The Google Translate icon is now gone. But remember, it will only be gone for as long as you don't click on the re-load button or change the novel you are reading. You can just repeat these steps if it appears again.
