Review please. Please... trade?The more I think about the bots, the more I realize it's probably an attack on the competition.
They are collecting any story and voting for stories which makes the new section of the power ranking even more unreliable than previously.
They are hiking up views which makes it harder to judge quality.
They are leaving fake comments which dissuades the reader to read originals.
Some authors might not care, some do care though and it's not good.
Maybe some of the coders at webnovel can change how the spirity contest shows up in the code on webnovel so the bots will have to bercoded.
I can imagine a simple change of syntax on the overall website should be enough to mess with their code.

I'm also a little bit upset about the bots. It's disrupting the new rankings really badly. Stories that only have 4000 views have over 85 collections. That used to be almost impossible because that means one time every 10 clicks someone is adding the book to their library. Frankly, for seasoned writers, it disrupts there sense of how good or bad a book is doing. It's annoying, and is going to make it harder to find high quality work.

It's unfortunate, but a lot of authors need to make money from their stories. Passion doesn't pay the bills... I hope you can find a way to either use fast passes to read the novel slowly, or find a way to keep supporting the authors you like in other ways.
This sight does have options to read stories for free, but if you're in love with a novel it makes sense you'd want to spend money.
It takes up time in your day to read, and a lot of other things you do for pleasure require money. Even seemingly free things usually have ads. I hope that you find a way to enjoy reading, and can keep it in mind that authors spend a lot of time trying to find a way to make their readers enjoy their stories while being able to make a living off of it.
If that story you were talking about wasn't premium, she might not be able to write it...
I'm a small time author, and the little supplemental money I earned from writing really made a difference in my life.
I'm sure the author appreciated the money you gave, and is thankful for it!
