This happens to me too. I read on the IOS app but even when there is a new chapter, I can't access it until I click on table of contents. Sometimes even that doesn't work.
Personally, I like to think about the things that made me start to write it. Like certain aspects of the book that I really want to explore and also what kind of ending I would want. I also like to reflect on how when I just started, I had no idea what to do but now people are actually reading what is basically a product of my daydreams and boredom.
When you read your first chapter and latest chapter, the contrast in quality or style enables you to see how far you've gone and it's really satisfying. It just helps to feel good about writing and actually enjoy it. Well that's just my experience though.silentscarlettt
