Synopsis:
Nightmares have been recurring for Elias “Eli” Perez: he is being chased by someone and is always killed last among six other random faces he has never seen before. There is something strange though. He can see his own death from the perspective of the killer. All across Raventown, on the other hand, there is an unseen increase in the number of teenage insomnia and disappearances.

A day after his most recent strange nightmare, his close friend Joshua “Josh” Calmaro reaches out and scares the wits out of him upon revealing that he had a dreadful nightmare: Eli’s death. He gives a highly valuable addition to the story, though. Eli needs a black book with a single word printed on the cover to survive the event in real life: Descendant. Eli remembers that the book referenced by his friend is a memento of his grandfather. The next day, Josh is found dead in his room with his eyes gouged out and nowhere to be found.

In a panicked trance, Eli rushes to keep the black book by his side and begins a quest to avoid his certain death.

All memories are estimated to deplete within six months if nothing is done. The only way to return to their daily lives is by defeating monsters that housed random memory fragments called Release to hopefully bring their ‘self’ back.

Rescuing a seemingly helpless woman named Vi Michels from a mob of Insane, people who have been defeated by the Esprit system, the two embark on their journey and become closer to each other more than anyone in their entire lives.
