guys just today when i was reading a one piece fan fic ( One Piece : The Handsome Sailor ), it hit me what if shanks has a devil fruit i.e.. wait for it ... Returner - Returner fruit or something similar to it. thinking about it, it fits perfectly.
shanks coming to Foosha village was more than a coincidence, it was like he came to recruit luffy with the Rubber -Rubber Fruit.
how can one of the four emperor lose a arm fighting a small sea king while saving a little boy.
my guess he needed something traumatic making a great impact to change Luffy's nature and future.
