Hello! I'm down! I'll give all of you guys collections and reviews! I'll read at least to chapter 10. Here is my book for the swap: https://www.webnovel.com/book/systematic-survival_28746761500696705
It's a system novel which I know some people don't like, so you don't need to read much of it! It's kinda long too
Mine's not exactly new since I posted the first couple chapters like 2 years ago. But I only recently really started posting daily, so I would consider it new. Also, webnovel put me in the new arrivals section a day ago, so I guess it counts lol. Well, here it is: https://www.webnovel.com/book/systematic-survival_21059677505060905

KIKI_GERALD You should follow de_writer's advise! But also I wanted to give a few more methods to increase your views, since it's nice to know people are reading your story also it never hurts!
[Have a good cover image] So cover images are super important since that's the first and basically only thing people see before clicking on your book. They never get a chance to read even your Synopsis since they didn't even click on the book! Creating a good cover image is tricky. I often see authors who believe their cover image is good, but in reality, it was simply much better than what they had before, but still not very good in general. I've done this as well, and I'm most definitely still doing it! There's always room to improve a cover image, and I'm like decent at it, but not a master. For your cover image, you want to stand out, so contrast, large opposing spaces and objects, and color are the most important aspects! I would recommend looking up guides on making good YouTube thumbnails! They are two completely different things, but it's surprisingly relevant to making novel covers. Just keep in mind, that you're trying to get them to click, but also keep the cover genuine! Traditional YouTube clickbait doesn't work here, like arrows and surprised expressions, but suggestive images do still work.... ehem. The best thing you can do is compare your cover to the most popular webnovel's covers! It's the best way to understand what can be improved!
[Have a good title] So this one's a bit harder, but also super important! They will not click on your book if it's called "Doing Taxes: The full guide." People are usually here for entertainment. So if a title feels boring to them, they will not click. The best way to understand a good title, so to browse webnovel your yourself, and add any books you want to read. When you choose not to read a book, instantly try to understand WHY. Ask yourself, WHY does it seem uninteresting to you? If all titles were interesting to you, you would add every single book you saw. If you make your title, something you would click on because you would want to read it, there will always be more people out there who will also click on it for the same reasons as you! Cover image, and title are by far the most important parts for getting views, without these, they won't even get to your synopsis, let alone read the first chapter!!!
[Synopsis] This is the final piece. Obviously, the content of the book should be good, but that's a problem for another day and that has to do with retention and collections. For VIEWS, the synopsis has to be "good". This is the final step to them either leaving your book or pressing "read". A good synopsis is tricky because it's fairly subjective as to what a good synopsis is. But there are some ground rules. A synopsis should not be long, that's what the book is for. You should condense it to only include the most interesting and vital reasons someone should read the book. In my opinion (Which could be wrong) a synopsis should be as short and sweet as possible. For example: "Harold was just an ordinary guy, until one day, his future came back to haunt him. How will he deal with growing a third arm? Only time will tell." I kinda wrote this randomly and quickly, but it should get the point across. You want the reader to think "Wait what!?" and have a feeling like they really want to understand what's going on. You need a bit of a wow factor and/or something to pull the viewer in. A hook, as they call it. Of course, you don't want to spoil too much, or else they will feel no need to find out what happens because they already know what happens, but also you don't want to leave out everything that's interesting, or else they'll think it's a boring story. There's a balance and it really depends on your individual story. If you think your story doesn't have anything "interesting" enough to put in the synopsis, remember your target audience! If your viewers want romance, make the interesting thing relationship-related! Or if you do a slice of life with no romance, include a weird or dramatic thing that happens. Interesting is subjective, and also depends on the context of your story!
I hope this helped! I'm still a beginner, but I've read/watched a ton of stuff and have talked to a few pros! So this is the culmination of info I've gotten from that! Hope you can stay dedicated and keep writing! The views will come, even if you don't do any of this, but these tips as well as de_writer's advice will help the views come!
Hey guys! New writer here! I just wanted to share my first real project! I'm planning for it to be a 1000+ chapter novel so keep that in mind while reading the first chapter. Thanks for even considering checking it out!
