  • Cutie_Bear hello! I'm a fellow author myself! It's been years since I even started writing, but I did official begin writing online novels when I was 13 so I can understand your confusion.

I can't really help you much in the contract department since I'm not contracted not interested in one, but feel free to ask anything else, I'll try to answer to the best of my abilities.

  • Mrnoob5089 hello! So as far as I remember, I did face a problem like this.

So when you press on those stars to rate the book, you get to this area where you have to rate a bunch of aspects of the book, and right below you'll have to write a review, however the post button will stay grey if you haven't wrote a lot of letters in your review.

    • I genuinely believe that webnovel was way better at the beginning of 2023 than by its end, I mean not only we got a lot of updates that seem almost unnecessary, there is some key features that keep bugging or not working until you restart the app, and sometimes all it takes is locking your phone and unlocking it again for the app to start bugging like crazy again!

Not to mention that when I first started writing on this app, I didn't always have Wifi, so i used to write offline and then upload when I have the internet again, but ever since these new updates, if you don't have Wi-Fi you cannot write a letter.

      • CrimsonIndWorks555 yep, it's all because of these new updates, the buttons disappear constantly for me, and worst ever since this new update, I can no longer create a chapter offline, like I used to, so unless I have wifi, I can't write here.

        • jenva I can totally understand your pov, truth to be told part of why the title is this way, is because I saw many other writers use BL and such terms in their titles even with their stories listed as LGBT

            • Edited

jenva you'll unfortunately have to read more to understand the story and see more magic, Also yes The story's name is NedGarrick because it's the main couple ship name, which is a common title for Thai Bl series/books, that's where I got the idea from, I actually hinted at it in the author's notes underneath the first chapter.

Also I deliberately added BL and Mpreg as a clear warning, so if someone who doesn't feel comfortable reading this type of story , would know without having to read anything because i feel like it's unfair to bait people into reading someone out of their comfort zone.

            • jenva thanks for the advice 💜

              • Reveries_ As far as I know? Probably fixing typos and grammar mistakes, or even rewriting the book, basically they do all the extras work a writer has to do o think.

                • You might find YouTube video to be helpful with that matter?

                  • CrimsonIndWorks555 because my stories are somewhat original in the sense of I'm not writing a fanfiction at all, this is my work that I thought of all by myself, even if I used some cliches, and I add popular references and jokes, I'm still writing an original and because of that I felt like wherever I wrote a book, it wasn't its place and I mainly felt like that because of all the successful fanfictions I happened to come across.

Because of this I've abandoned so many books and left them unfinished through these past few years, but when I came here to webnovel and felt the same pressure all over again, I was lucky enough to have a friend of mine who reminded me why I'm writing in the first place, and that's because I love writing that's simple and for me I don't care anymore whether my book fits here or not, webnovel or any other site was originally made to write and read, if having a successful book means I can't write it however I want or I have to write the same type as others, I don't want that.

                    • CrimsonIndWorks555 first off all I wish you all luck with your story! I write too so I'm well aware of how difficult and challenging writing can be especially in like an app or a website, I have been writing stories since I was a teen on websites like Quotev and Wattpad (which btw are also filled with these anime type of stories), but about almost 2 years I came across webnovel and I also was shocked that just like the other websites, unless you're writing a fanfiction about some known show/Anime or even a fanfiction about a celebrity, your chances of smooth sailing as an online writer are slim to none.

                    • shadowlord4318 I think so? I'm not contracted, but I did join a contest about half a year ago I think.
