Here are a few points that web novel platform shape the novel:
- I don't know why the platform force number of release chapter per day (in the contract) but that thing might
has a lot of impact how the novel was written. When there is a pressure on author, usually the author will try to make chapter just for readable or more words but less meaning. Rather than creative or unique most author will come with same thing (copy others author novel part or completely) why? because time is pressing them. conclusion less creative more chapters. Author who has written novel for more 10 years doesn't mean he has more creative than new comer since the requirement is just for number rather creative.
- The way it choose the "trial read" or author pick, most of them is for new audience. I believe mostly likely the marketer will only look at number (number of click or view) rather than satisfaction. I don't think that is the right marketing strategy because the container has many holes that leak water no matter how much you fill the container will not be full. what does it affect the novel? Well the novel might be repeat or has too much similar content to the famous novel - why? because this kind of novel attract the new audience but for old audience its tasteless. Do you ever feel like you lose taste in novel, it isn't you it just you eat the same food and it become tasteless.

OK, I think that question might be me thinking too much. Here are points that I think new translated novels are rubbish:

• Too OP Cheat: cheat is acceptable but too OP without suitable plots or reasons. Sample: treasure chest (thing come out of nothingness) , sign in etc. I know some novels are for wish full fill satisfaction but it should under limitation.
• Author Write for money rather than compassion: OK I know author need money too but come on too much greed make it go down hill. Most of novels just repeat the same thing again and again or make different paragraphs but have the same meaning.
• Is the web novel is the same as light novel? some novels are too descriptive that is out of the category. some just give a short description.
• Goal or direction of story: some novels don't have a specific direction. Author might write it in his free time or for fun.
• Out of Logic: This is the most important things for me. Plots or event should be logic or reasonable. Example such as brainless villain or unthinkable MC behavior (MC act like an idiot or cause trouble for nothing).
• MC personal characteristic is very important. Most of novels I read MC doesn't have personality. Personality change according to event or experience then it is acceptable.

Please add "Speak mode" in the novel.

- Cheat System, Heaven Defy Talent or OP MC: Yes people tend to read somethings that are easy to get Maybe real life is so hard so novel could make them escape from reality.
- Faceslap: This one is the popular one people like to see faceslap.
- Talk nonsense: Yes you hear right "talk nonsense" or "trash talk". Some don't like but most readers like it.
- A lot of Battles: The battle make thing interesting.
And others points that I may miss.

I try "The Ultimate Evolution" but I give up after read 15 chapters.
