It is to my deepest regret that I found out today the trial read novel “A bar in an alternate universe: pick up a young witch” was inaccurately not selected for continued translation. This humble practitioner is here before you today to humbly request my fellow daoists to give a read of a more western themed novel. It is certainly a breath of fresh air compared to some of the many iterations of the same novel, such as OP farms, “I wake up as a…”, “The whole world transmigrates…”, cheat systems/golden fingers, and many others that feel very over saturated. While I admit some faults in translation, the story itself is very refreshing. It manages to combine humor, common tropes, adventure, and an mc with morals into a fun adventure. The first 40 chapters that are currently released are more of a warm up, and the real intrigue was about to start. Should we allow this refreshing novel to slip through the cracks, as so many other great novels have gone unnoticed, then we would only be doing ourselves a disfavor! After being on WebNovel for a great many years, I have become densensitized to a great many tropes, and finding a new gem is truly a wondrous find! So please join me today in requesting the continued translation of this exciting adventure!

Please shut up. I’m getting 25 notifications a day about the same novel in my library, telling me to read it, when it’s not even in my library. Just make it go away
Two novels I want to read are “I am Loaded with Passive Skills” (will be referred to as Skills) and “God Rank Upgrade System” (will be referred to as God). I found both through trial read, which had chapters 1-19 unlocked and 20-40 locked. As of now, Skills has gone through the voting pool, while God is in there now. However, when I try to read chapter 20 for either of them, I get told that I’m offline and to retry. It’s the same for all chapters 20-40. Did the novels get dropped/removed? Is it because I didn’t unlock them while they were still in trial read that I’m not allowed to read them? Did the authors get mad at me and somehow blacklist me from reading their novels?! Though in all seriousness, I just want to read these, please give me a solution.

MotivatedSloth Bro chill. Its a widely shared opinion that (edit) a lot (not all) (end edit) new stories that are being uploaded are subpar. Many are rushed without checking grammar, cliches and tropes are rampant, and many feel like copy-paste. I would very much like if there was an option to buy whole, because when I first started using this app you could buy membership for $20 a month and unlock everything for that month. Most of the works at that time were translated, which translators have an easier time than authors since they don’t have to create everything (not to downplay the role translators have), so WebNovel paid them less. Now with all the new “authors”, it wouldn’t be possible to pay everyone if they continued to use that method. But that doesn’t change the fact that the novels are indeed incredibly overpriced. There are a few novels that are worth every coin, but many are stocked full of filler. You can insist on us getting an incredible deal on the amount of words we’re reading, but so many of those words are repetition, long drawn out needless info dumps, recaps of what happened in the previous chapter, or pages and pages of stats. That’s not value, that’s milking the system. (Honestly at this point I don’t know where I’m headed, so getting back on topic.) The point is, stop hating on people that want what they are receiving to be worth what they are paying.
