4 out of 5 Manufacturing Engineers at Riedran-Corp are in favor of Monsters in the workplace!
To begin with, there are many factory conditions where common-folk workers aren't able to work comfortably or for prolonged periods of time, and require changing the conditions to "safer" levels that are less efficient, frequent breaks or protective equipment that can be expensive and often cumbersome. With monster workers, due to all the varieties of monsters in existence, there are even some species able to thrive in these severe conditions, and that is without even needing any expensive specialized equipment! Examples include undead and elementals with bio-hazards and extreme temperatures.
Now some people fear that this is just the first step in these "Miscreations" taking all of our manufacturing jobs, but this fear is unfounded.
Firstly, common-folk are only outperformed by monsters in some situations; We Dwarves, for instance, are both versatile and hardy, capable of working just as hard as monsters in most cases.
Secondly, any efficiency boosts by a Factories' hiring Monster workers, not only help the factory's bottom line, allowing for growth of the business (a percentage of which will be the creation of new common-folk jobs); it also allows the factory to lower its prices to its distributors, who then pass on some of that savings to their customers, leaving more gold in everyone's pockets and stimulating the economy, which then creates even more jobs!
Lastly, Monsters are people too and should get a fair chance at employment in jobs that they are skilled at doing. I Personally know some very noble monsters who have dealt with prejudice their entire lives. My drinking buddy, Firglim, a currently out of work hobgoblin construction worker has been let-go or overlooked many a time, solely because of his goblinoid heritige. At his last job, which he worked at diligently for over 8 months, his boss made up some excuse about Firg lacking some esoteric technical skill, fired him, and replaced him with a young human with no work experience!
