Yeah. Can't find them either outside of going to the daily vote. No new trial reads so far due to the update.
As a big user of both the app and PC... The I find the app, in regards to signing in and voting, less user friend friendly than the PC. Also, not sure if this is a bug or a feature, Whenever I do the 3 steps for the 3 free fast passes, I will also do the 2 watch ads to get an additional 2 fast passes for a total of 5. However I can only ever use the 3 sign in and vote ones and the watch ad 2 don't seem to work on any novel. Makes me feel I wasted my time watching ads for a benefit that isn't real. Those extra fast passes just sit in limbo until expiring. I find myself just reading a ton of novels for the first 40 chapters and moving on, which sucks cause there are a lot of good novels on here.
So yeah basically offering 10 points for each instead of a fast pass when a face pass costs 2000 on the app... there is not meaning to use the PC anymore, They want to drive people to the app because of the in app ads that are harder to be blocked now. Increasing ad revenue as well as their normal coin pay or subs from people. Does it suck for the user? Yes, Though it just goes back to WN being a business. It makes them more money in the long term vs the sudden drop of people leaving now. They will get new readers who have never known about the old system that we know and will be content.
I have turned off the auto unlock function just in case that is the issue. will check and see.
Darth_Xiane I have checked my tab. Nothing says otherwise. I have been using this for months and it is not until this last week that i have been having issues.
Booker23de I do have one with an auto unlock on it, however it is the very one i have been reading only. i have not read anything else and it only consumes 3 out of the 5 and the remaining two become useless or nonfunctioning. Even for other stories or comics, yet funny enough they still remain on my fast pass count, or disappear entirely without unlocking anything. Like phantom passes.

UniVerseLessOne I know that. That's why I stated I started off with no fast passes in post.
Every night I start off with zero fast pass. I do the 3 normal ways to earn 3 of them, voting and checking in, plus app has 2 other ways you can get bonus fast passes by watching ads. I should have 5 after doing all of that. It shows that amount too in the count once all done. Yet every time I read a novel it only allows me to use 3 of them and the extra 2 vanish. This has been going on for a week now. On another note, for some reason some books have chapters where the next page button is missing or maybe hidden under the new ads that now are on the chapters for mobile. I have to go out into the table of contents each time to turn the page.

I wish they would finish some of the ones that were started but were dropped out of no where.

Deathic It has to do with author agreements with the publisher over copy rights spreading to an overseas market. Monetary deals for the rights between author, publisher, and QI. I am not a lawyer or a business expert, but I know that the other site WW has to do the same thing. Having the books taken down just until the agreements get more finalized in respect to the authors. I know I might not be completely right, however, I think I am in the area of that assumption. I know that Korea does things a bit differently than China does for those things.

More chapters get done freelance rather than having to be put under a contract from QI. They should just let someone who does it out in the wild finish it then approach them with a buy out option for the translation. as long as they are doing it at a decent release and edit job. Keeping it to close to the chest and chaining translators with contracts or DMCAs is killing the movement's spirit. If they (freelance TL) takes over one that is somewhat TL'd but not finished, they could pay for the remaining word count. Then send it into the house of editing to fix any small issues if any.
MasterRabbink This was mainly a joke about most romances. However I have seen , though very rare, books that have had such endings have been successful in their own right. Is it for all readers? Of course not, but it will be one that was remembered over those romances that ended more typical. Saying sadist author was also more of how some people would feel at the time about the author but reflection can be a hell of a thing. Some authors have found they had become more popular for it. Some claim it's about the journey rather than the end. Maybe it was a bittersweet romance or a first love experience. Doesn't mean they would end up together. Not saying a romance should end like an NTR just for reactions sake.
