The text to speech was good, but has been broken to the point of unusable for over a year.
They refuse to fix it, even though it is a somewhat easy fix.

It boils down to just removing line breaks from what the text to speech reads, but they won't do it as of now.

Heck, they refuse to even acknowledge there is a problem despite a flood of posts on the matter, and I assume a number of users leaving/no longer using their app/website as a direct result.
I am one of said people, given I have dyslexia.

The app Text to speech is broken.
It can't read many words, and It reads line breaks every 3 words, Cutting sentences up to the point of unreadable.

I mean If ....(Insert 5 second pause).... someone talked like ....(Insert 5 second pause).... this taking Long ....(Insert 5 second pause).... breaks in Between ....(Insert 5 second pause).... words for no ....(Insert 5 second pause).... reason, is it ....(Insert 5 second pause).... something that would ....(Insert 5 second pause).... be viable to ....(Insert 5 second pause).... listen to in ....(Insert 5 second pause).... conversation let alone ....(Insert 5 second pause).... when listening to ....(Insert 5 second pause).... a Story?

That is the state of the text to speech at present.

They are simply bad at development and implement things that break things that worked fine prior.
Sometimes intentionally other times due to laziness.
They should use the old text to speech, or at least removed the line breaks from what the text to speech is reading, so it doesn't read those.
That seems to be one of the biggest issues with it.

What's more, on their website they seem to have inserted an overlay that makes text to speech unable to read the novels entirely.
Seems to be to force people to use the app by removing functionality from the website.

If they can't be bothered to properly develop their app, they shouldn't intentionally break their website to force people to their broken app, but they do.
It's a matter of instead of making a good app they just actively make their own website worse to get people to use it.
This as a result as just made me, and I assume others to stop using their app and site entirely.
Mind you, I have done so despite I have spent a few hundred USD on their app prior.

I would happily come back to their app/website If the novels could be read out loud, but they seem intent on never fixing it, as it has been broken for over a year.

I have dyslexia so without text to speech/the ability to use it via a plugin/program, I will not pay any attention to any web novel.
I understand this post is likely in vain given the way they tend to do things until now, and their total inability to even acknowledge that there is an issue let alone fix it.

However, I made this post regardless because I loved many of the novels on their website/app, and do wish I could read them, yet can't.
I can only conclude they simply don't want my money, or the money of anyone like me, and it makes me kind of sad given how good some of those novels were/are.

I will keep an eye out incase they actually fix things, but I won't hold out hope for it as it stands.
