Before I began posting the chapters of my novel on here, the chapters were about 3.5k-4k words long. I noticed that a lot of other novels have waaaaay less words per chapter so I edited most of my chapters to fit. What's an ideal word count I should go for that won't make readers feel like its too long but not too short?
