Hi All~The results of our Writing Prompts Contests #8	 are out! Based off of last week's power stones rankings, the first ten are as follows:
The first one will receive 5 Spirit Stone gift cards, while 2th through 5th shall each receive 2 Spirit Stone gift cards. ## (Each gift card contains 100 Spirit Stones).
Also, the first ranked author will each have their novels be recommended on the front page for this week. Today the gift cards rewards shall be emailed out.

Writing Prompts Contest #8: Alluring Uniform
Uniforms usually represent a specific kind of occupation.
When speaking of uniforms, what kinds of occupations would come to your mind? Policemen, doctors, pilots or even soldiers?
Yes, we are being naughty. We deliberately used this suggestive title to attract you, but our real purpose is to inspire you with ideas for the creation of romantic stories that have main charatcters with particular occupations.
We believe that there everyone has an occupation in their mind which they find particularly charming...
This occupation could be a doctor, which represents high IQ and a good education...
Perhaps you like policemen, who can give you a sense of security...
Or maybe it's a soldier; well-trained and full of attractive discipline and restraint...
In their particular professional domains, they might be very professional and dependable, treating everyone as equal, but the moment they take off their uniform uniforms, they will present unique and charming personalities unique to them. Doesn't this provoke a sense of wonder?
Imagine the following scene:
When a sick girl visits the hospital, she accidentally realizes that a doctor has a handsome face under his mask, one which sends palpitations through her heart. It's love at first sight, and after she recovers from her sickness, she deliberate bathes in cold water during winter, so as to find a reason to meet him again. But when she meets the doctor again, the doctor's smile has a little resignation, but also a little joy. He seems to have seen through her tricks… A romance begins…
Next, it will depend on what profession you like~
Writing Prompts Contest #9: Modern Knight
This writing prompt will be about a knight from another world who transmigrates to modern day Earth. Of course, this other world will probably be a fantasy world with magic, dragons, monsters, and so on.
Language
A difficult problem for a knight from another world would be how to communicate with modern-day people. Basically speaking, does this knight know how to speak English or another language from this world?
There are two possibilities here. First, we can assume that the knight already knows English or some other language from Earth. Then, where did the knight learn English from? We can give him a setting regarding where he learned English from. As an example, if someone taught him, perhaps his teacher was his adopted father, a priest from the Vatican, a mysterious traveling bard, or so on. Each type of teacher has countless possibilities that can connect another world to our own.
The second possibility is that the knight doesn’t know English at all. That will be quite troublesome for him. Perhaps the cops will take him away to a secret military research facility. Or, perhaps a sharp reporter will discover him and make him the focus of international attention. Or, a girl could take him in for a fun daily life… Any possibility is filled with boundless excitement.
Supernatural abilities
The knight has incredibly strong magic and fighting abilities. Yet, now that he’s arrived on Earth, he’s in a world with no such supernatural abilities that people know about.
If the Earth in your story is a place with no supernatural abilities, then this knight main character will become the most powerful person on Earth. Will he use his supernatural abilities to fight against evil, or get addicted to power and fall into depravity?
And if your Earth has supernatural abilities, then the main character will be facing powerful enemies. Will he fight against New York mafia families, martial artists from the distant east, or mysterious shamans from the Pacific? And of course, the main character’s fighting style will be totally different from his opponents. What fireworks can be sparked from such communication via combat?
How to return?
Will the main character miss his home after staying in modern Earth for a while? Will he want to find a way to return to his world? Answering this question requires a look at how he arrived on Earth.
Perhaps he’s someone fortunate enough to have received a second chance at life due to the Gods’ favor. Perhaps his “teacher” cast a spell on him that would automatically send him to a new world upon death. Or, perhaps he obtained a mysterious necklace which would automatically take him to a new world when it was soaked in blood. And the necklace’s origin was…
These problems will motivate the main character to experience even more adventures.
Example of how to start such a story
Here is an example, just for reference:
“I am Edgar Ries, Silver Knight of the Church. I was just carrying out my secret mission to eradicate the vampires hiding in Dedan City.”
“Right as I cut off the Vampire Duchess’s head, her sharp claws also pierced my heart. As I waited for my inevitable death, a bright light suddenly surrounded me and brought me here –”
“This unfamiliar land.”
It was now six o’clock in the afternoon, rush hour in New York City.
Edgar was standing in front of a traffic light.
He wore silver armor and had a broadsword visibly strapped on his back. The wind from cars passing by lifted his long golden hair and also caused the religious accessories at his waist and chest to make clinking sounds.
Cars passed by in front of him as skyscrapers lit up with bright lights. Men wearing suits, youths in casual attire, women wearing high heels and professional clothing, and all sorts of other people passed by in front of him. Occasionally, they would send him strange glances.
Edgar furrowed his eyebrows. “Gods, where exactly am I?”

##How to join
When you create your new novel, you can choose any genre that you wish. Then, the writing contest options will appear. Choose the [Writing Prompts Contest #8: Alluring Uniform] or [Writing Prompts Contest #9: Modern Knight] option in order to participate in this contest.
Rules
1.The main topic of your novel should be the Alluring Uniform or Modern Knight. Otherwise, it shall be treated as an invalid entry.
2.Your story entered in the contest must be your own original work, with the copyright held by you. No plagiarism is allowed.
3.The contest will take place from August 20th, 2018 to August 26th, 2018 (GMT +8).
4.The story must not contain any racial or religious discrimination against any other cultures or their lifestyles.
5.Only newly-created original novels shall be allowed to enter the contest.
6.Webnovel reserves the right of final interpretation for all stories submitted in this contest.
