@Skully_ Calling the author here. I believe if you fill the docs it could be contracted soon.
A GEM OF A NOVEL THAT NEED SOME ATTENTIONS!!! :)
@Skully_ is pretty cool. He actually has a forum thread where he reviews other authors novels and gives them advice. I've been looking forward to mine getting reviewed =). https://forum.webnovel.com/d/11227-review-from-fellow-ot-author
Daedalus sits in the top 20 in the Original Power Ranking though. So it definitely gets attention. It's also the highest rated novel in the top 20 at the moment. I'm not sure he qualifies for a contract though. It isn't clear to me from the contract page whether they require 120,000 words a month or if that requirement only exists for a guaranteed minimum payment each month. If it isn't a requirement then I wouldn't be surprised if Skully_ got an offer.
SnoozySloth Edgarry (the curator) likes the novel. I believe that is a huge factor.
The minimum word is for minimum bumper, but it isn't important.
Yeah this post could use more traction and notices lol. So there will be more supporter for such a great novel. XD
SnoozySloth that sounds awsome and i hope you get it soon. ^
Polarize4777 Wow, Thanks Polarize. I really appreciate the support and find it touching that you like the story so much that you take the time to come and make a post about it.
I work very hard on the story as it's my goal to become a full-time author. At the moment I am an engineer and project manager, which pays well, but I love telling stories and I dream of having Daedalus made into an anime. So you can rest assured I will continue to work hard, with both love and dedication.
I apologise for the first 5 chapters. They are a prologue really and the only reason I didn't call them prologue is that most people skip prologues. lol. I am not too worried that they are heavy because most people who love Daedalus like the technical parts just as much as the action and characters.
And all the reviews Daedalus has received have been kind. No Trolls yet <touch wood>
MasterRabbink where is this form? I will read the fine print as I do have a patreon which I can tell from other authors has to go. As well as RR, there are 700+ followers there as well.
I would like to point out that my chapters are over 3,000 words on average and I average one per day. I really can't see someone writing more than this unless they cut a lot of corners, post tonnes of filler or are just much much more talented than me.
Skully_ Then it is better to wait for WN to come first. Not everyone could accept the terms. Perhaps you could ask for 'manhwa' or 'anime' as the term one day if certain popularity goal reached.
Tencent made animation of the King's Avatar is cool (try to check the Youtube), and that is one of the main 'perk' being on Webnovel (however, the chance is small since there were many stories in Qidian too, and see TDG animation for the lol.).

MasterRabbink Understood. I watched the TKA anime before I read the webnovel (650chaps) on GT. It's what lead me down this road in the first place actually.
The main key to having an anime made after your story is followers. I am fairly sure TKA was the most popular Webnovel in China for awhile before it was made into an Anime. And it was in a modern day setting, allowing McDonald's advertising.
All I have to do is keep writing, do my best, and it will either become popular enough. Or it won't. :) Longshot, that's why its a dream and not a goal.
Skully_ If in the far future i see this novel becoming an anime, you know what I will be doing __. I also just realize you have a review thread on this forum Skully, which is hilarious with its brutal and nice reviews. Your novel inspire me to keep striving to write my own novel, which is hard sometime when i get stuck due to a lack of confidence because of grammar and writing consistency. However, your novel help keep the flame of novel writing lit up for me and I will keep practicing and learning from better authors on how to further my story telling skills. I also wonder if you have a section in your discord where you have resources or tips for amateur authors, who are still beating around the bush to get the feel of writing a story. Also can you please give me a discord link to put in my discord server search so that i can hook up to get in directly.
Thank you for stopping by and keep up the good work!!
Pretty sure I added this to many author's thoughts. Perhaps I should put it in the synopsis.
All you really need to do is
Read Book of Authors on this site (I have its not long and covers important information)
.
Plan your plot and main cast including antagonist before you start.
.
Never introduce a character unless you know their name, what they look like, personality and their goals in life (aka motivations) Characters are not there for your plot. They do what a real person would do. So if you need them for a plot device you must have that align with a goal that makes sense.
.
Just write. I hear a lot of people procrastinating. Procrastinating never got anyone anywhere. You will not be a great author with your first 200k words. When you get to your 400k+ words you will be good or great. All you need is imagination for a great story the rest is hard work.

Skully_ Thank you for your advice and I will do my best in practicing my first 200 thousand words. This will be a hurdle for me, will try my best to write without throwing too much fluff into my writing. While I am at it I will try to learn how to organize event points and set up an ending before I even start writing just so I know where I want to take my story. Also i will be more careful on my use of characters so that they don't feel like 2D cardboard, another point I would like to ask you is if you have multiple character sheets for all your characters quirks, traits, background, and etc?
Another question for you if you don't mind answering, How many time do you rewrite a chapter so that it can be a better experience for us readers?
Again thank you for your time and advice, have a good day!
About to start college, but that won't stop me from trying to write in my free time to practice and hopefully one day have my novel on this site get reviews and maybe a brutal review from you or a nice one.
