I was trying(in vain) to browse the "popular all genre" listing to perhaps once again find something new and interesting to read but ended up having to dig between ripped off actual books from past listed as "originals" here and the 9001 "naruto within naruto system of naruto world" fanfics written by children

Manage this shit people, this simply cannot go on. Real literature is getting buried here and even I who spend majority of my time in front of a pc don't have neither the time or resources to bring them back

How about a system that deletes the crappy originals that don't enjoy certain amount of traffic after a while?

    It's indeed true but there are some ORIGINAL that are good... but the fanfic are too many....even the translation novel cannot compete with those fanfic.

    I recommend those novel to you: ORIGINAL.

      As an author, I hate those damn fanfictions! They prevent me from pushing past the 80s for my ranking... On the other hand, maybe they are good? I have personally never read one.

      I think Original needs divided into three categories.
      1. Original.
      2. Fanfic.
      3. Erotica.
      They're three very different categories and readers have different expectations for those three things. All three have their own pros and cons, but it seems odd to group them all together under Original.

        yu_ba_bu_neng amen brother, the naruto fanfics are like shadow clones, they just keep popping up out of nowhere in large numbers. Though there are one or two good ones... but still, too many crappy ones

                  You're right, this isn't a kids site. However, I imagine most readers are between age 13 and 25. I have no data to back that up though. Just my personal guess.

If he's not looking for original novels he can switch the search to translated only, if he's looking at original section by popular fanfics are near the top for a reason.

                                      AuHNG I have smut in mine and I say Parents Strongly Cautioned because I feel sex is ok to read about for a young child. It is a part of life, but parents need to be responsible and talk about it with their children. I do also state why Parents are Strongly Cautioned. I don't want them thinking it is just language.

                                                              Finally, most people know that sex is procreation and how to do it. I doubt, however, that most people actually know the biology behind it. You should not be teaching the pleasures of sex, but rather the biology behind sex to a child.

                                                              Most often, those who know about ####s and vags and what not don't actually know some of the basic biology behind them. Such as, but not limited to, you do not pee out of your vag, virgins can have broken hymens, and hymens aren't always broken during ### semen is not the same as sperm, and they probably won't be able to identify most parts of the reproductive organs.

                                                              So, unless you're teaching them about that, it's best to leave the educating to your health teachers, and not take the education into your own hands.

                                                                          I dunno if your mother allowed you, but if she did, she should have at least took responsibilities to teach you about sex early. And, as I mentioned, the actual biology behind it, which most parents can't do, and most people who think they know so much about sex fail to realize that perhaps they should have listened to their health teachers. It can also be that their health teachers were incompetent, which does happen frequently.

I'm pretty open to young adults learning about safe sex and how to respect your partner when you do decide to have sex. That's just me though. I started pretty early in life, 7th grade maybe 8th... can't remember. Anyway, I don't see a problem with it because in our history as human beings, we started having sex in our teens.

                                                                                  I think you have a bit too much trust in the education system. I don't remember paying any attention during sex ed classes. I learned more from the discovery channel and movies.

                                                                                  Ultimately, a child will be exposed through media or just asking google about sex. It is inevitable. I think early education is more important. I also don't see a problem going over how to make sure your partner is respected and that you are respected. I think that is important too. That is something my parents never talked to me about. I am pretty open minded though.

I'm perfectly fine with those who are going through puberty, learning about it. I think it is also important for children to know what sexual assault is. Other than that, I hope that it isn't only the media that influences childrens views, but that they also learn about basic biology.

Also, most parents don't want their children to be exposed to sex at a young age, so its best to respect other people's decisions.

Now what I'd really like, is if you could see where you were on the board that your novel is listed on, then there was also another ranking board that compared all novels (original. fanfic, and translated (i listed in order of my preferences)) so you could see where you rank on the sight as a whole (this is not saying I want them to consolidate all of the sections back together, just make it to where you can see where the powerstone ranking would be if there were no separations).;,;.
