Good day friends, I am a novice writer who's currently writing a western fantasy novel. I am not proficient in English language as it is not my native tongue, but I still try my best to write it in English. I am neither bad nor good when it comes to punctuation, I would say that I am average.

I am not looking for a professional editor as I can't afford their service. To say that I am looking for an editor to do free work is indeed shameless, but that is not my intention. I am just an average salaryman who had stumbled upon this community and was inspired to write my own story, and I am looking for someone who would invest their time and skills to help me create and share the world locked inside my mind.

Try Grammarly in the meantime. Although there are a few mistakes once in a while, it's still a huge help for me.

As opposed to "Grammarly", I'd suggest using google drive's add-one "LanguageTool".

PatriarchLuo I might actually be interested in trying my hand at editing. I can't guarantee always having a fast turn around time though.

I don't think you really need an editor atm. Looking at your post, your english is not that bad. Heck, you're even better at certain people.

Editor's are still nice to have anyways. I can read my story four times and still miss obvious errors because I wrote it. I think errors other people write stand out more to me than my own.
Also, editing takes a lot of time. I think I edit it for just as long as I write the draft.

Why stop there? You should be looking for a harem who also edits and they can all work for you day and night.

Your English seems to be fine from what I can see. With that said, most people who would do it for free would do it because they liked the series. So you might want to include a link to the story. Once a few people read it you'll have a better chance of getting someone who wants to help.

Zetheryl I am also confident that my English is not bad, but like SnoozySloth said it is much better having a second opinion regarding my grammar and punctuation. Sometimes I also misspell some words even though I've already review the chapters couple of times.

Skully_ If I have a lot of money to hire a few editors that would be possible, but unfortunately I don't have that much. I guess I'll have to rely on my charm to make it possible.

What is the title of your novel? And also what is your scheduled release time? I'll like to help edit(for free of course) but i have had no past experience before and as i'm a student i might be unable to edit it in time.
