I am writing a book but I haven’t figured out a suitable synopsis to capture the interest of readers. Should I spoil some info for example if there is a betrayal should I say who the traitor is. Given that it happens in the early chapters.
Help with synopsis
elliptic depends. say he dies due to betrayal and reincarnates or something, then yea. Its been done before, in fact its a bit over-used. My suggestion would be to mix it up, cause if i read a synopsis that sounds like every other reincarnation theme novel ill probably skip it. But if not no biggie, if its good anyways then the readers will naturally come.
Dontlookdown Yeah I have seen far too many novels with the same synopsis but different names. However this is a story about a youths clan being betrayed and as a result his clan declines heavily and suffers destruction. The betrayal wasn’t aimed at him due to anything he did. It was someone close to him who had deep enmity with his clan and used him to get closer to the clan. so I don’t know if I should spoil who it was to gain potential readers.
Good day i think it is okay if you should write who is the culprit or traitor,, and the reason for the betrayal should be hidden or hanged in the synosis so we readers would be eager to find it out...
elliptic if his betrayal exposed in early chapter, it'd okay to write. But if his betrayal exposed late, then don't
