So I had to re-install the app since no matter how many times I press the download button it only shows the green bar (download progress) but the chapters/contents doesn't even though my network connection is stable. (The app is in the latest version.)

After the app re-installed, I log-in and retried to download the story and it finally worked!

The problem is, I checked the previous chapters I'm done reading only shocked to see they got re-locked even though I already unlocked them months ago.

I really don't have problem with it since I'm done already with those re-locked chapters before the re-installation but what I fear is if it might happen again on other stories' chapters that I already unlocked but haven't read yet.

Unlocking chapters really cost me even though Webnovel already gave us ways to gain more Spirit Stones other than logging in.

NOTE:
I unlocked chapter with FREE Spirit Stones so I was wondering maybe they got re-locked because I used free although there are some chapters remained unlocked between those that got re-locked.

    CelestialCastle The chapters you unlocked with spirit stones shouldn’t be locked.
    The chapters you accessed for free initially or you watched ads for are the chapters that got relocked.
    The first 100 chapters should also be free to access.
    This is the new trend for completed novels.
    For some novels which haven’t gone premium yet, you have to access chapters by watching ads, including chapters you’ve read before without ads.
    Some novels are still free to read with no ads.

        QueenCL It doesn't really matter whether the SSs are free or bought when using to unlock a chapter in order to keep it unlocked?

        I remember that I watched some ads to unlock them but if my memory serves right, it shouldn't too many since I only used them when my SSs isn't enough to open a single chapter.

          CelestialCastle What I have observed from my own account (I’m a premium user)

          1. Completed novels have all their chapters relocked except the first 100 and the ones unlocked with spirit stones e.g. BTNHH, Mr CEO love me 100%

          2. Ongoing premium novels only have chapters after they turned premium locked. So for the premium novels I’m reading, I can still go back to read them again e.g. Hidden marriage, trial marriage

          3. Some novels have Adwall on all chapters except the first 100. So I watch ads for some novels.
            *These novels didn’t have adwalls to begin with, but when the system was implemented, all the chapters after 100 that I had read before had to be accessed with ads if I was going to read them again e.g. 99 proclamations of Love, Legend of Chu Qiao (ad from ch. 50)

          4. Some novels are completely free, no ads and no spirit stones needed e.g. Our glamorous time, ABSCAY

            I am still here in qidian because of original novels...
