HavenlyJeep
Works that way for all authors unless they use the @ symbol with the authors name. It's inconvenient for authors and is poor design. Many of us scroll through all our chapters to look for new comments every few days.
Chapter Comments Have No Notifications Whatsoever
SnoozySloth Oh, okay. Thank you! I guess I have to start doing the same as well.
HavenlyJeep Try to imagine when your novel is 1.000 chapters long.
MasterRabbink The torture... XD
HavenlyJeep At one time, you won't be able to 'communicate' with newer readers. Webnovel actually wished for the author to hear 'popular' market opinion. Author could change the plot with the feedback while readers could contribute to the novel, instead becoming a passive readers. The result would be a 'popular' novel.
Nevertheless, it would also give burden to some authors. Some went to hiatus, becuase the novel was no longer his/her vision.
SnoozySloth Really, you receive notifs if the @ symbol was used in the comments? I didn't know that.
I feel I've made some very positive changes to my novels based on user feedback, Granted. I haven't been writing very long. I also have an easy time throwing away bad ideas and adopting parts of good ones.
DazzlingGem
I think you do? I get notified when they reply to my comments so I always assumed it was because of the @ symbol or something. Someone go test it =p
SnoozySloth The reply have notifs but not sure if you just comment with an @ at the author. I'll try it on grandpa's novel later.
DazzlingGem What is this Rabbink a testing Rabbink?

MasterRabbink Yup! Does it work?
But you really admit now that you're a grandpa, huh?
SnoozySloth Ok, I tried on mine too using a different account and no notif. Maybe yours was a reply so there was a notification.
DazzlingGem You have commented?
DazzlingGem
Yeah, probably. My bad lol.
MasterRabbink Yup, on yours too, using the @ and your author name. Since you haven't seen it, then there was no notification.
DazzlingGem But you really admit now that you're a grandpa, huh?
BABY Rabbink who had the duty as a 'Grandpa' in its novel.
Yeah, I feel you.
[unknown] Yeah, I feel you.
