The Cthulhu Mythos refers to a world setting that's typically horrifying, abnormal, and indescribable. In such a world, Gods and ancient existences rule the universe, while humans are nothing more than ants in a tiny corner of the universe. Strange whispers can be heard everywhere, your neighbor is insane, while there are mysterious and terrifying creatures in the deep ocean... There are many elements suitable for Cthulhu Mythos stories. If you have any understanding of this genre, then please feel free to write a story and participate in this writing prompt.

Also, we'd like to welcome all stories with Cthulhu elements, not necessarily just the ones with abnormal and horrifying atmospheres. Such elements can be an excellent spice to add to your story.

If a selection of the most popular occupation that male leads have in romance novels is made, being a CEO will definitely be in the top three.

How to join

When you create your new novel, you can choose any genre that you wish. Then, the writing contest options will appear. Choose the [Writing Prompts Contest #24：Cthulhu Mythos] or [Writing Prompts Contest #25：Female CEO] option in order to participate in this contest.

1.The main topic of your novel should be Cthulhu Mythos or Female CEO. Otherwise, it shall be treated as an invalid entry.
2.Your story entered in the contest must be your own original work, with the copyright held by you. No plagiarism is allowed.
3.The contest will take place from October 15, 2018 to October 21, 2018 (GMT +8).
4.The story must not contain any racial or religious discrimination against any other cultures or their lifestyles.
5.Only newly-created original novels shall be allowed to enter the contest.
6.Webnovel reserves the right of final interpretation for all stories submitted in this contest.

    Synopsis
    Human is threatened with extinction because of the monster. This incident happened 150 years ago.

    There was a crack in the sky, the monsters began to emerge from the crack and destroyed everything they passed.

    The incident is like hell on earth where humans are eaten by monsters without being able to resist.

    Humans began to join and look for ways to fight the monsters. After doing research and testing many times humans finally find ways to fight monsters, by making a weapon from the parts of the monster body itself. By finding ways to fight, humans start fighting monsters for years without end.

    After fighting for years, humans began to build a place where they could live and expand safe areas. This place is called the "Last Fortress" or known as Liberty. i wish you like my wiriting. for now there is only 3 chapter.

                  A strange choice to have Cthulhu Mythos as a topic, especially since there are zero stories of that genre over here.

                  CN style horror novels are few, but if anyone wants a reference for writing, well, Way of the Devil has a amazingly dark starter arc.

                    I didn't really read it, but synopsis has English word 'SCP'. Yeah, the SCP of SCP Foundation!

                    It has a decent rating and good amount of chapters (1k+), though the story is split in volumes) so it seems cool.

                    You can try if you have time to spare.

                      There's no company in the ancient era, so contest #25 limited only on modern era?
                      Or could a woman who manages to get a position as sect leader to consider as CEO as well?
