butterfly_effect Hi... Sis/Brother,
How are u? Sorry for the late response even though I am the one who's looking for you. My mid-term is going on so I could not respond when u mentioned me.
I looked for u like a lunatic. :P
Do u have any discord channel? So that I can talk to u? :) Mine is BawMeaw#3906Apkxiaanita No. Only new contest winners. Eg: 26 & 27.

Apkxiaanita It changes every 3 days.
SnoozySloth LOL. Guess I can understand since the graph was like a nightmare to me and had to see the dropping scene after waking up every morning for more than 2 weeks.

SnoozySloth I know the incident about the collection numbers, but my graph showed the fluctuation. From 4. something K then 3,2,1 K. And the graph started to rising again after I reposted chapters.
Apkxiaanita yeah but I can't judge myself since I've inferiority complexes and always feel my novel has no quality and everyone is better than me. Which also caused me to delete my novel. So I can't judge myself.
Apkxiaanita I don't understand what you are saying

Lord_of_Potatoes
I started my novel on a whim (for the contest), so I had no plan/still have no plan and trying to write with the flow as my readers demand. Moreover, my writing skill/grammars suck and as a writer, I am a sloth, each chapter takes atleast 2-3 days to complete and sometimes I stuck with a chapter for weeks because I am a newbie and yeah, lazy too.
So its quite impossible to target for daily updates. I tried but it caused dropping my writing quality. So forget about daily.Secondly, last month(8th September) I posted/started my novel for a writing prompt but didn't win. However, it got positive responses, (I didn't exchange reviews except 2, so, 18 out of 20 of them are from the readers). I had 5.7k+ collections and 106K views in just 3 weeks and had only 10 chapters. Each chapter had at least 10+ comments. But for some reason, I quit and deleted my whole novel. But even after deletion, they upvoted and reviewed me more than 2 weeks and though my collection dropped from 5.7k to 1k (which was an obvious reaction), now after reposting the novel it's increasing again(now its 2k, between 2 weeks even though no new chapters has been updated)
So here's my question to you that I've been dying to know and asking around.
Can I ask for a contract? I am a lazy writer( since I always don't feel motivated) and can't promise that I'll update daily. Highest 3 chapters per week. I don't have any planned outline. So I don't think I can submit outlines but yeah, have next 50 planned chapters. But the way I am writing right now (which I am not sure tho), I guess it's going to be a long journey for the readers, at least 500chapters and 2 years! Despite being these problems, can I still ask for the contract?
Ierrech stated:"From the usual info available, no minimum number of words at the point of getting contracted. However, the first 200k words are free, so 50k words could get contracted, but won't generate revenue for Webnovel or the author until it crosses 200k words."
Is it true? But the way I am progressing, I don't think I'll reach 200K words anytime soon (since I've posted 10K words now). But then what will happen to the revenues (from gifts) even (somehow) I get a contract? Will they share then (from Royalty contract)?
And how about short novels like 300-500k words? Can they ask for a contract?
Please, I hope you'll clarify my questions.
