im actually hoping to see something like this in the synopsis
"If you like my story, read and leave a review
if you dont like my story... read it still and leave a review
cause hey every person counts and a hater is still a number"

and ill automatically like it even if the novel is shit

I do think that you should read what you like, and stay away from what you don't, unless you are reading to give constructive criticism.;,;. however, none of the ratings are for "Do you like the type of story I'm making", they are all for "How well am I doing at making my story." So I hate when people rate a story up or down just because they like or dislike what it's about, even if they would be willing to admit that it is well written, or poorly written... I am one who wants the reviews that tell me how well or poorly written my novel is.;,;. That is also what I give.;,;.

Well, I'm an author who likes a lot of comments, good and bad, I'm excluding Troll comments because it's the comments that move me to write more and better.

I am also a web-reader (Chinese, Korean, Japanese ...) so I also understand that my stories will not please everyone and that I will have errors, but I need feedback to be able to improve myself as an author!

So I am grateful for the sincere reviews (good or bad) of my story and for the sincere comments of the readers if I can improve it is because of the feedback I receive from these readers.

I get sadder if I do not receive any comment than receive a critical comment.

I can not understand how the authors expect more than 30 chapters to receive reviews and comments .... Seriously I would not have managed to keep going that way.

Uh I kinda agree with you. Except for the last part.
I write because I like the story I'm writing. Having reviews and comments is nice, but without them, I'll still write.
Having said that, I still gotta admit it feels good reading reviews on my work. Lets me know that someone cares. :)

I could respond that I like to create too, you can not even imagine how many unpublished stories I've already created.

Anyway, but without comments, I would not continue to write, because I only publish to share this my creative world, if there is no one who reads it, what is the reason I publish?

Also, I can't lie, I want to make money from this because it is something I love and want to make money with something I love, much better than I work with something that will rot my brain with boring activities.

Writing a novel without getting any comments is boring, I have written so many chapters, yet to be released but I lost my enthusiasm to write because the comments section was like a death zone lol.

            Take_the_Moon
Lol, believe it or not, it's up to you.
            I wrote 40+ chapters, published 10chapters, 68 collections. 1- 1.5K Words per chapter.

20 Hours back I created a new novel, I wrote and posted on the spot, 500-600 Words
58 Collections. (this novel is like some random bullsh*t)

If collection represents 'Add to Library' then my serious thinking is worse than the random cr*p I write.

Take_the_Moon When I post a Chapter, I feel pain, worry about the eyes of my readers, because my text it is suffering and pain. Sometimes it seems to me that after reading my texts, they do not see anything, so they are silent.

BabyTanuki Right i also happen to see some people getting angry with the author coz they said that the chapters are way too short and it just a waste of their SS yet they still read it. The author is not forcing them to read or spend their precious SS right?.

              Hahahaha!
              Wow, it's so hard!

I have six stories published, clearly I know what it's like to have a lot of collection in one and a little in another! But of course this depends a lot on the audience I'm looking for, because I have a story that the MC is a woman and in this story I also have male readers, which to me is a surprise, already in another story of mine that the MC is a man, I also have female readers!

What I mean is: I planned for each story a different audience, but I ended up with different audiences than I imagined. So it's how we do our stories, we always think we're doing the best and for a certain audience, in the end, we end up frustrating with our expectations.

Well this is something inevitable, so the deal is not even calling, as long as there are comments, even if they are few.

I do not know if I came up with the right idea or if I was just more confused?

TheMDmaster11 Well Yeah, I remember seeing a fairly popular novel on here but literally said F.U to the readers and deleted all his content. I think all writers should be A bit more proffesional s and be more open minded . lol

Lel, I wish I had the same troubles as these writers. It's so hard to get any reviews at all unless your web novel is super mega ultra popular.

TheMDmaster11 Though what you say is true, I have a few comments on my novel that say things like: Another MC that hides his strength? One Star. Harem? One Star!

These are opinion based. If they just try hard enough to read the synopsis, they would realise that I intend for it to be that way. The author needs an audience, if the audience dislikes you, then there would be no point, right? Some just naturally hate one kind of genre/tag. It might be rape, nudity, romance, harem and many more. Some read my novel for 12 chaps before they instantly concluded: It was trash or it is just another MC hides his strength.

For that not to happen, I put the things that would happen in the synopsis. That way, it won't attract those I don't need to attract.

I assure you, even if I were to write with higher quality, it would still not be their cup of tea. Are you telling me that I have to face biased comments telling me what I should or shouldn't do? If I were to make the MC show his strength, wouldn't that be way too much of a change of pace?

The biased comments have absolutely no feedback that I can use to improve my work. So yes, some Authors do tell readers that they shouldn't read.
