I’ve been going through several of my frequently read novels because I noticed my Caught up to most recent chapters hasn’t been triggering and I noticed that a dozen or so chapters that were unlocked have recently been relocked after I’ve read them. Is anyone else having this problem?

      Same. Unlocked chapters get relocked later, some "daily missions" cannot be completed anymore, and all these issues then get reported many times in the forum. The only staff who seem to be reading and responding to any of these is CKtalon. Unfortunately there seem to be more than he / she can handle.

      Even the FAQ stickied in this forum has sections where the author acknowledges there have been changes but there is no official communication on what those changes are. Webnovel needs more people working on both the forum and communications in general.

          mng If I remember correctly CKtalon is a 33 y.o. male scientist from Singapore. Errr... that's all I remember from the interview article, oh yeah I distinctly remember him waring rather large loafers.

            is there a reason why this is happening. chapter that have been read been locked. i left a series for accumulation and was trying to read today and notice that it has been added to premium and try to check previous chapters and wasnt able to access it.

              angel_fall That could be the answer (i.e. novels that get added to premium relocks previously unlocked chapters). Which could be a bug and / or intentional. Try tagging CKtalon about it. That seems to be the only way to get an official / admin to respond. And if they miss it, which I assume is possible as he probably gets tagged on alot of things (since he seems to be the only admin checking things here), you could try repeating the message and tagging him again a day or so later.

              There is a FAQ, but it seems to have been made by ordinary users like us and at least some of it is inaccurate and / or out-of-date. Webnovel does not seem to be particularly adept at communicating with regular users like us. For example, the change to free chapters no longer automatically being available after a few weeks or the mechanics of why previously unlocked chapters keep getting locked. We have to either figure things out by ourselves or tag CKtalon and hope he answers. I hope he is getting compensated for this, as I imagine it is not a terribly fun role to have.

                  mng sadly is not a bug. every chapter after a certain number of chapters of premium novel are being locked. So to say you have read a story for free and it goes premium all released chapters past the certain free number gets locked. If you have unlocked it with SS you have to send them the History of these chapters, if you unlocked them with video or waited for free unlock you have to pay to unlock them again.
