Hello, I enjoy reading these webnovels a lot and appreciate a lot of the works that are brought out by Webnovel, but I do have a problem. And the problem amouts to the fact I just used 40 us dollars to get spirit stones but only got to read half a book.. Now I'm not saying the novels are bad or not worth it, but as someone who reads for joy I feel that this is overpriced. I have kindle unlimited and the most I have ever paid, for a whole book, is 7.99 us. Some might say, "these novels are longer," and that may be true, but I shouldnt be paying 40$ for half a book.

Now, I am not someone to complain and not give a solution or idea to help, this is why I tagged suggestion. My suggestion for Webnovel is two things:
1. Lower the prices of chapters to 1-3 spirit stones. I find this to be fair and from my point of view I am paying 20$ for 1000 chapters in less popular novels, or 300 chapters for most popular models. Worth it.
2. Provide a price for a whole novel, either its completed form, or work with the author to come to a set value for a number of chapters. Like 500 chapters for 800 spirit stones.

This is the end of my suggestions and complaints. As of now, I do not make enough to keep using this app so unfortunately I will cry but not be reading. (I'm using kindle unlimited instead)

      u can still unlock premium chapters with free SS, although its only temporary unlock and need a very very very looooong time to open 1000++ unlock chapters, its free

      there always an option
      u got money ? buy SS and finish 1000 chapters in 3 days
      u got money but not enough ? buy SS + leech free SS and finish 1000 chapters in 6 months
      u got no money ? leech free SS and maybe u can pass legacy to 2nd generation to finish the goddamn book

          Well, I wouldn't really consider 1000+ chapters as a book so much as 10 - 30 books depending on actual word count.

          I do like the idea of authors being able to set prices or maybe custom bundles. It might even make sense as a business model since someone might drop the stones on all those chapters and never actually read them, lol.

          You may want to watch for the TGIF posts. I know some books get a discount each week on it.

              Personaly... Agreed :O ... But on the other hand ... I see where this is coming from... No one want's to work for free... the site server still costs a fair amout of money ( tried to have gaming server once (40 euros for a month ) and not that good ) thinking that this site works always, has to be updated and taken care of ( and if you look up, cloud server now costs range from 5 up to 1000$ ) and this one is probably the more expensive one :O ?... well you can imagine that someone's time is used... + somewhat add free so not a lot a revenue... so what do they have left ? making something like spendable B-coin...

              Ofcourse I would still like it to be cheaper, or not to go premium... cuz right now I am using this site basically just to see if new chapter is out, and read it elsewhere... why ? because 30 second search is faster then waiting 24 hours for stone, which still can be in deficiancy... and i read what ? minimum 40-50 chapters a day :D so yeah....

              All in all, the would there be diference if they lowered the prices ? YES I would read the new chapters here !!! But i would still read a premium with 200 unlocked chapters on other website... I feel like this site will go down eventually until someone else takes the mantle and goes down the same way... like literaly circle of death and rebirth :D ... Redemption ? Remove the SS!!! or Remove the premium and bring donations here! (kinda like wuxiaworld ) it's on the unpopular side now because it doesn't rly have good novels right now XD

                Zhang_Kai_Rui It isn't necessarily even a very long book. It all depends on word count as SnoozySloth mentioned. For example (which really annoyed me when I was in the Romance genera)... Most romance novels have chapters of only 800 words. Then they release 2 chapters a day and act like they are doing some sort of favour to the public. It's not. They could have just did 1 decent chapter at 1600 words... roll eyes I'm pretty sure it is marketing strategy...

                Also as an original author, I suggest you look into original works that are free. Some authors will put their patreon up, so if you are enjoying their book, you can go ahead and give them a dollar or w/e. It gives them the motivation to continue on and makes them feel loved.

                The quality between originals and translated ones are not really that different. I would say sometimes the originals are better. Many translated ones are pretty cookie cutter, which I find boring. I would say you can probably use free stones to unlock 1 translated novel and read free originals on the side to spice things up.

                How to look for a good original? Hmm... I would say reviews, but you need to look for one with more than 15. Many people do review swaps to get an initial ranking. I would also say look to see how many chapters the author has. If they have many, then they probably won't drop it. Obviously, read the synopsis to see if you might even like the story and if you have questions, then ask the author in their discord.

                Or just jump straight in and read lol.

                      Anyone paying money to read these novels is insane. The prices are beyond terrible. There's 0 reason to justify the prices.

                        The price is to high the price should be one stone for 500-1000 words. And you can unlock all the current chapters at 20% less then when you get one chapter at a time. When the novel is done transformation if the entire novel cost someone 1000 SS while it was being translated we should be able to spend 600 SS and get the entire thing at onetime.

                          To be honest, the price of the Spirit stones and chapters is rather exorbitant.
                          You'd rather buy the paperback novel (if any comes out) because it's cheaper. I understand that it takes a lot of money to run a corporation like this, but overcharging on stuff that you don't even own as a hard copy.....

                            Man, there can’t be too much money. If you have a decent amount of those, you need to work with them properly, you need to invest into something. Try to find some additional information around the internet, PayDaySay site is the best example. People are borrowing a lot of money and of course they want their credit scores to be high, but sometimes mistakes happen, and they just look for a way to solve it and a financial website like above helps them. You better read more pages like this.
