  • Stop giving daily exp for comments and replies. Comment section = complete spam.

I catch up daily on a few novels, and within a couple hours of a new chapter release I see 40 useless comments lining up the top of the chapter discussion with posts such as:

A: "first"
A: "first"
A: reply to self "wow i'm first"
B: "1"
B: "2"
B: reply to self "3"
C: "exp"
C: "exp"
C: reply to self "exp"
... etc.

There is almost no room for actual discussion anymore, as everything is drowned out by the exp fiends that only care about levels and nothing else. Since I doubt you guys have time to enforce every chapter discussion, I suggest getting rid of this daily exp from commenting and replying altogether. Having an empty inbox is better than having an inbox full of spam.

    I agree I find it annoying. I comment often mainly when something hilarious or awesome happens. I also like to read comments and reply to the ones I like. Idk what QI was thinking with this idea.

      Jack discussion, if you really want a discussion on a certain novel, just open a new topic in forum. you wont get an actual discussion on comment section. blame Qidian for the existence of Exp Sect. the F5 sect has been around since primordial times, goodluck eliminating them.

          NineLife The f5 sect has been there forever, but after replying "first" "second" "third" and maybe a couple more with some "thanks" sprinkled in between they usually stop. But this is actively encouraging people to do this, which is even more of a problem. 5 or so comments are okay to overlook, but not when it's like 40 each... :(

              Sure the 1,2,3,4,5,6 .......... are the most annoying of all the comments that I have read until now

                Can you disable commenting to your own comment (exp spammers) and replying more than one time in a row so it's not a huge list of just one persons comments as well? Sure call first or whatever but don't post six times in a row so it blocks out any entertaining, funny etc comments please.

                  Would be nice to get a different mission. Like:

                  1. Achievement! Spent 5 hours reading continuesly.
                    Or even...
                  2. Watch through 100 advertisements. (So that those ads could finally have a use for us.)

                  Make the missions a bit more engaging and exciting than spam.

                    MissMiia I agree, though probably less advertisements lol.

                    Also, maybe read a chapters from a novel you haven't touched in the last week, or read 3 consecutive chapters or something.

                      Or just shadowban those who spam for exp. While i agree that the system is currently supporting spam a lot, it also encourages discussion in the comments for those that aren't shameless enough to spam. If you just shadowban the ones who are obviously spamming and exploiting the system, all that is left are those who actually contribute

                      There is a latest chapter discussion section on the forums.. Gotta start using that if we want to discuss the novel. Usually the other comments are about thanks, now they are about xp. Real discussion is always on forums.

                        Jack 70m on everybody 1st or first and second etc are generally the first few comments made so it's not something new. Haven't yiubheard of the f5 sect?

                            I used to read the comments but it is very tedious to do so now and I don't even bother to comment anymore as more than likely no one will view my thoughts within the sea of spam.

                            This is a really ridiculous situation.

                                  Doing this artificially increases the amount of comments on qi's site, making the site's userbase seem much larger than it actually is in a bid for legitimacy.
