UnjustlyUnderpaid do you know which font styles are used by most of the novels here? looks interesting
CoffeeObsessor I’m pretty sure that when you type in a new chapter, ink stone automatically sets up your font for you
I have a similar problem, but I have a book cover, just that I can't seem to identify how to upload it...... Very much need help guys!!
UnjustlyUnderpaid does this mean that I should upload book cover (raw) i.e. without title name on it & later on inkstone will automatically set title name on it for me?
CoffeeObsessor oh you meant the font of the covers! XD on hindsight it makes sense considering what this post is about.
To answer your question, I have no idea what don’t people use for their covers. But I think a lot of people use different fonts. It really just depends on what you like the most so don’t worry about that too much.
UnjustlyUnderpaid sure sure
UnjustlyUnderpaid ok i got it. Thanks
Jennifurr don't forget that cover for your novel have specific requirements, size less than 5mb and must in 600*800 pixel format.
I suggest to put the title on middle or bottom of picture because there always a original text appears in top right corner of your cover which could block your title text.
For the font i suggest not using those fancy looking styles, just make it as neat as possible and you can try stealing some "ideas" in deviant art if you're not sure what to use for cover 600x800 nothing more nothing less
Jennifurr i can make you one! im kinda free right now, you could check mine out if you like it i can make it doesnt take me too long since i use GIMP
AY0K0 oh i had this issue whatever programme you used to make it (I use gimp inkscape or coreldraw) go to the resize button and manually key in 600/800 px then export it as a png image make sure the layer matches the image size and you're good to go
lazyredragon oh not png jpg ugh sorry
lazyredragon Thanks!, I looked back at the forum and this helped me alot!!!
I cannot find a link where I can place my bookcover. The site only shows my latest chapters.. I've been searching for it for a couple of minutes now.. Please help me,
yukihirobi you need to go to the browser inkstone.com
There you need to explore the boom you want to add a cover on and press the gear in the upper right corner. It should bring you to the lance where you add the synopsis and title. Just click the cover and add it from wherever you’re saving it from.
for webnovel, the pixel size for cover is 600 x 800. use pixlr sites or befunky. they are good for photo editing and resizing. when you open pixlr or befunky, you will find photo resize option in crop/resize. add 600 for width and 800 for height.
Its better to not use other artist photos or photos with copyright coz you might not wanna get into legal problems in future. there are many sites like upsplash, pixabay...finding good photos there is a pain. You will find some photos and just mix them together in pixlr/editor. check sites for how to add layers or photo editing.
other option is google image search. in tools, go for option : image for non commercial use with modification. search for images with key words. you might want to try png format image because they are easier to edit. thats all I know about photo editing and book images. pixlr editor is also good for photo editing..then, there is photoshop and canva. online apps are without limits.
lazyredragon hi I’m sorry to disturb you but I’ve been trying to upload a cover for my book for days now but they suggest it had to be 600*800px....... I have tried different resize apps but it’s not working. Please help me out,if possible can you crop it for me yourself???? Please?????
rookieblue Do you have the painter app on your computer? you can resize it on that and save it on desktop.
