For your second question. Li Muyan was never an important character... he was only meant to be a filler. He does show up again in the birthday arc, but yeah only then..

My humble guess 
Carrot Yun do all this from the start. HE might have gotten news about NX pregnancy and prepared everything. He also sent the first mother (The one who claim to be Xiao Bun mom) and when he found NX (later), he want to play with her or use her against Big Bun. But later he falls for her and untimely, NX fall for Big Bun.

l_ry It's not actually stated properly how Annie knew little bun was Xiao Xi son . Annie did know the child belonged to LTX though (the author was very vague during this arc. It felt very rushed and random. So ) But Annie's motive is revenge against the Lu Family.
