Littleplotter There is no "ranking" for WSA. The wsa rank site you might have seen is just listing all the entries entered in WSA so far. A ranking based on total amount of PS. But this will not be the official ranking.
ohremi19 Hi, I am a contracted webnovel author and I can say that the choice to lock your books is up to you. Take my book "Eternal Melody" for example. It has been contracted for over a year but has no locked chapters because I want to keep it free and only the gift function. Of course the decision is up to you. If you want your book to "earn." naturally you will have to lock your chapters to gain any money. Gifts don't earn much. I hope this helps.

Not every reader on this site has the means to pay to read (have no job or way of earning income). So when webnovel implents a sudden change like this, it's normal for those readera to get upset. While you are not being forced to use this FP (agree with above statements, it's a strategy WN is experimenting with) I do understand your frustration now that you have even less means to read.
Even if you can't read your favourite series anymore, there are plenty of free books on this app. You just have to hunt around.
Ps: not every person who posts a complaint is acting entitled. You just have to put your selves in their situation for a moment.

The spam is way too much, I can't see other entries and can't support people.It's overpriced but it depends on the individual buyer. I think we forget that people have different spending. Some people can afford this and some can't. If people want to use FP and other means it is their choice. It's unfair on the author but these people have no other way to read their favourite stories so we should take that into consideration.

Honestly, this is partily your fault too. Why would you rely on ink stone despite hearing of the numerous bugs? Despite seeing it's faulty. Try to follow other authors examples. Write on a different writing software (Google docs, word) and copy and paste to ink stone. This way even if Inkstone deletes it, you still have a copy.We all learned from this mistake. Inkstone isn't reliable.
