Well I'm proud to say that at least in the rarity I can beat everyone (Shamelessly XD).
To me there's two types of originality in literature. First is mostly seen above, that is, adding/removing/modifying/combining certain elements of existing, popular, and vulgar--if you pardon the word--cliches. This is the quick, easy type of originality, and can be viewed as refreshing temprorarily, but as soon as it possesses some maturity in quality to make itself popular, it will become the new generarion of boring cliche.
What I'm trying to do is the second type--a true, fundamental one that cannot be copied, just like you cannot say there are two natural-born persons who are exactly the same. It is a fanfic of an old, niche cult-classic video game, but at the same time, "From the first lines, felt 'classic style'--literary processing, knowledge of the composition of the construction of the text: Prologue, Exposure, Outline of Action, Main Action, Climax, Decoupling, Epilogue, Lyrical Digression...evident in the text! This is not similar to the usual text of the novels, your work, similar to the old fiction of the 20th century!" (quoted from a review of my book), and yet with this classic writing style, it is very easy to read and not obscure or slow-paced at all.
As for the theme, it is very obviously about vampires, and written in the perceptive of vampires. But most of the "vampire" books nowadays are cliche, cheesy romances trying to be "original" by clothing themselves with a vampire skin. But fortunately the original work of my fiction, the World of Darkness series provided an exquisite set of world building and lore about the vampires that actually made them a complete and complex species, based on which I can build up my story and innovate upon their works (standing on the shoulder of giants, so they say XD).
So yep, that's about it. Finally I can stop this uncomfortable self-boosting :<. Besides, it's only 10K words long right now, doesn't really hurt to give it a try: https://www.webnovel.com/book/14316549305962705 XD
Appreciate any forms of comments/reviews about the book, as far as it's honest and genuine, not some phony, empty 5-stars :>
