If you're completely new to webnovels in general, then here are the standard recommendations.
1. Start with Coiling Dragon. Complete book with tons of chapters. One of the best Chinese novels and it has many western themes/names, making it ideal for beginners.
2. Warlock of the Magus World. Another mostly western theme novel. Completed with tons of chapters. This is another favorite of most readers. It tends to be much darker than Coiling Dragon as far as the theme and MC go.
3. I Shall Seal the Heavens. Extremely popular. Arguably the best Chinese webnovel. Translated by arguably the best translator ever. Completed with tons of chapters. It will also give you a strong introduction to the concept of Chinese cultivation, which in turn will make it easier to read other cultivation novels in the future, as many share similar themes but don't explain it as well.
4. There are a few other completed novels and popular novels at this point. You could check out related works from the same authors as the previous mentions or ask for new recommendations based on which of the three novels above you liked best.
5. I will shamelessly recommend my own ongoing novel, Steampunk Apocalypse. Is it comparable to the greats mentioned above? I'd say definetly not, lol. But it typically ranks between 40th to 60th amongst all original novels on this site, so it's decent =p

    Library if heaven’s path, bhtbifbyou choise this route then prepare yourself for a lot of cliffhangers... or cultivation chat group.

    These are novels that I would recommend if you just want a nice funny read. but they might not be to your taste.

      Honestly, it all depends on your taste. I would suggest ignoring originals for now (unless you prefer them to translated) and going off of the translated suggestions above. either way, just browse honestly. Everyone has different taste and the only way to find what you like is to go through stuff yourself.

        You can give this a try as it's not a pure romance novel. :)
        It's a fictional story and is ongoing.
        It's an all in one novel dealing with mythical creatures. With right amount of mystery, suspense, adventure and romance.
