I haven't read it, but I'd think that it should be rather good (putting aside genre preferences and stuff)
It has been on the top of the Chinese monthly recommendation board and monthly ticket for almost the entire 2017. (Usually there would quite a few fluctuations, such as A Will Eternal alternating from 2nd to 9th place, but The Sacred Ruins managed to remain at the top consecutively for many months)
Soooo I guess trust the taste of the majority? :P

CKtalon But both of these books seems to have low rankings here. I used to read IETs new book which u r translating, but ordinary beginning made me stop reading that for a while. Need to catch up. How is the story now? Anything new and good?

KingBiBiK New readers do not know who are the popular writers in China after all. And popular writers tend to write a little more mature-sounding stuff, so it might not suit their tastes. I do not know how it compares with IET's older works so no comment.

because the author have gained too many fans.the fans always vote without any reason.
the author of sacred ruins haven't make any progress for many years,but his books still contain many joyful and exciting elements,tell a interesting story as well.

just read until 500 chapters for the author sometimes kind of drag and filled with nonsense words which i hate most and the beginning is boring as usual .

StarveCleric I guess it is because the Author of The Sacred Ruins must be quite popular in China whereas here the translation rate isn't the best which may put off many people.

You can't judge a book by it's cover, but you can judge it by it`s author. If your fav author writes a new book, pretty sure you would give it a chance. That said, there is definitely room for new authors.

Also release rate plays a huge factor

And translation quality. And some novels just don't translate as well no matter how good the translator is.
