Chryiss Fanfics always have the advantage of having a fanbase already existing. It is a massive advantage.
What is your collection to views ratio?
Chryiss A mixture of an existing fanbase (ARMYs), plus good plot and good writing will make fanfics rocket up to stardom
This doesn't mean you've failed with your other novels. Hopefully some readers from your fanfic will love your writing and give your other novels a try too.
Even though I haven't updated my main novel in a while, I still gained about 70-90 collections just from those from the BTS fic.
Fighting!
Convincing Her
Views: 317,100
Collections: 840
Ratio: 1:377
I was hoping to have much more collections when my views had reached this amount
noctiferu Well I was mostly kidding on the fail part. As for good writing, I’m not too sure. I don’t consider either of my contest stories as my best. MWTL is technically one I entered into a contest too, but it was with only a few days left, and I didn’t know the rules, so it doesn’t count lol. Fan fics do have advantages where even if the writing is basic, the story can still be popular. I’m not sure how much I’ve gained with my other books from the BTS one, but I don’t think I got that much crossover. They’ve been increasing at their usual rates, so BTS didn’t seem to affect them.
PinkCotton Uh, I wouldn’t mind having that many collections any day. Great job I’d say! The ratio is good too~
282:240k It's been slowly improving.
StenDuring I don't get why readers don't read your stories. They clearly have quality and originality. Or is it discovery issues?
JiaLi I used to think the collections were everything too, but don't obsess over it :) I've met people who would rather search for novel titles than add it to their library. lol.
Sometimes, I do that.
GrumpyNeighbor Well it is....and for 1 month i think the collection is also quite good....
Encouraging myself with that..._
Thanks for the kind words.
My stories have, quite frankly, boring covers. Add that they're titled more in line with books made out of paper.
Also, while I like slice-of-life, it's not for everyone.
The story heading for an epic ratio probably has a few more readers than collection. By now it's turning into a gimmick :D
Btw, 9.1k:1. Just 9k view more ;)
Chryiss I haven't updated at all for my other novel lol and i've gotten about a 70-80 increase. The power of ARMYs is scary....love them thoooo we are like a family at times
Whispers I think your writing is lovely. I'm a silent reader of all your novels. Too shy to comment, but I know that your writing is nothing to be sneezed at.
Ahhhhhhhhhh~~~~!!!!!! *Runs around like a chicken
I can’t believe I hit the 500 collections mark. Views surged past my second highest novel too. I feel like a proper Webnovel author now. But to think that the story would be a fan fic! Lol, I’ll take whatever I get haha!
At the end of this competition, I’m going to screenshot and frame my stats. X’D Thank you BTS! lmfao
Restarting ratio trending for my books I'll be focusing on to meet my 3 year vision.

All other books will be dropped titles like this one: MV22 Dropped
Veronica8 Gotta clap for you and your clear vision. I’m not sure how I would be on dropping stories, but I think it would probably be difficult for me. XD Even with my crappy stories I still like keeping them. But for a portfolio, yeah what you’re doing sounds about right.
Your website reminds me of the one we had to making in a digital marketing class two semesters ago. I chose a writing portfolio website that then turned into an artistic and academic one too. When I say reminds, I don’t mean design-wise. Yours looks more professional for a writing portfolio.
All three of my titles run steadily at around 500:1

Chryiss Yay. Thank you. I was hoping that it met the writing vibe. :smile_cat: I'm sad about dropping stories. Especially for TLAM. I realized I couldn't be random with my portfolio, since it's harder to market my books. Keeping to a vision makes it easier to fit them into a likely market.
I don't actually get rid of the story. Look at Zaldizko, I left that one in an "in progress draft" state back in the early 2000s. So, I know I'll republish TLAM and most likely when it's completed. I'm going to keep updating to it in the background when I have free moments between the others.
Today's Fixed Batch.

Dragonieth is my dark horse. Guess, I better dedicate more on this one. I have to sort through my draft junk first. I didn't realize the messy manuscript I left behind when I originally dropped the story years back. Kind of went rock star all over it when I copped a very (cough slightly homophobic) honest opinion from a big wig editor. I don't blame them I guess. I was naive. Looking back at my naive self, I should've seen it as an accomplishment of receiving a non cut/paste rejection letter from the big wig editor.

Started with a new one Feral Confessions
76:1
But it is new, with only 6 chapters, so that's worrisome...
Just too nervous!
