As someone who haven't read your story and only the synopsis—and doesn't mind having the occasional spoiler—what did you exactly do? Mind giving me a skeletal frame of what you did? Like, what was your storyline and how did you "move it too fast"? What "things" did you do?

As a generic question: It seems like—at a quick glance— a slice of life novel. What's the focus on? The relationship dynamic between the kid and the MC? If that's so, then your plot is never done. There is always something to write about with interacting with kids. You can even build a plot after your original plot. There's always room for growth. Or in Xanxia terms, there's always a heaven above the heavens.

For example: Kid was sent back to parents? Well, time to partyyyyy! Let's clean up the hous—oh? What's this? sigh. That kid left their favorite blanket behind? What to do?

    Short pout in stories plot.
A 19 year old collage student Rosé, has a senior with mean look but nice personality.
One day she was out drinking with her group of friends when, the got into gossiping argument. She simply lost most of her friends because she stood up for the senior in question. After that she saw him in a store with a kid. A little 3 year old, now 4 called Lilly and his daughter.

That's plot in short. Senior is called Kuroo. He comes from a pretty nice and rich family. Its lead by his mother, the family I mean. His mother wants him to just obey her and do what she tells him to, but hes against that kind of thinking so he developed personality disorde. One wild side for gang fight, one nice and mellow, for meeting and school and one... that is just the one he uses with Lilly.

So... I was exited about the story. But I messed it up. I put in a lot of drama. And used all possible arcs I could've to improve chr relationships, romance itself and of course drama.
I'm not sure, if I should just delete all the uneeded chapters, or try to fix them?

Pleas do help me lol TT

      Yeah, I get you.

For my first novel, I ended up disliking it nid-way through and wanted to restart, but the problem with WN's are the consistent upload you have to do.

If you re-make something while people have read the chapter, it just makes thing jumbled and irky.

Overall, I wouldn't suggest re-doing the novel, but if you really want to and need to do so, then make it for the better and go for it.

I have a similar problem. As a new author, my early chapters are much worse than my later chapters, turning away many readers from my story. I have plans to rewrite those chapters, but I'm limited by the existing frame and a lack of time.
I think you should ask yourself whether it's worth rewriting it. If you think it is, then decide how.
      1. Rewrite within the existing frame. More challenging and will likely result in somewhat lower quality, but you don't have to stop the story and make readers reread portions of it.
      2. Go back to that point and start over from there. Probably lose short-term popularity as a result and may upset fans. May also result in more long-term fans and popularity if you think the issue is that serious.
      3. Reboot the book entirely. Plenty of authors have been known to restart a series entirely if they're unsatisfied with it.

Honestly, if you're a new writer still gaining a lot of new experiences as you go, then I wouldn't worry about it too much or just choose option one. Writers make mistakes and improve over time. It's normal to have some bad chapters/parts in early works.

UnjustlyUnderpaid the problem is, I domt have much chapters to really complete with. AI wanted to have atleast 100. I had material for 100

SnoozySloth ah I just plan to restart like last 5 chapters, that I really messed up. I actually really like my current story and theme. If you do have a problem deciding, ask people that follow your story. There are some quiet wise ones.

Thanks. I'm too far along for anything other than option 1 though =p. Especially since my book is in the top 40 to 50 original rankings usually.

SnoozySloth woah. Then why not just add a new chr to mix up the plot and bring it back on track? I would do that but I cant since it's the type of novel where that would just ruin it.

If you feel like you should rewrite then edit the chapters and then post a special chapter telling your old readers that you updated the story. Or put the story on pause and edit it. Sure, losing audience sucks, but if you carry on with the story you'll just keep the old readers and won't be able to gain new audience. If you really feel that you should rewrite it, then rewrite. Also, to keep the storyline under control, draw out your story before writing it. Or you can decide to add lots of drama every 15th chapter (or every 10 000 words).
In the end, you're the one to decide.

I searched your novel just now. I didn't click read yet, but what turned my attention is your synopsis. First thing I advice you do is rewrite it. Asap. When readers search for books, what they see are the first three lines (i think) of synopsis. So start it with action. If you want to say that's your first book then write it in the end.

That aside, how about exchanging reviews of out novels? Mine is https://www.webnovel.com/book/12522840205740905/Born-In-Blood. Tell me if you're interested

No, my novel is on track now. It's just the early chapters are bad and need rewritten, lol. Basically, my first volume is significantly worse than volumes 2 and 3. Kind of backwards since most novels tend to go downhill as they go on while mine has mostly done the opposite, lol.

4knnife thanks. You are right I'll do that!
It's better getting new readers from a good story then the bad story, story I feel unsatisfied with.

SnoozySloth lol I see. I'm glad to hear that? The fact you are still getting good attention if the volume is bad isn't such a bad thing?

lunaluuuna5 A good audience who loves not only the writing, but the person behind the writing would understand. I have seen many authors erase parts and start again, some even the whole novel! And yet they still had their supporters. In a way, this would be a good way to find out who truly loves your book.

P.S. Sorry if I said anything offensive. I was just speaking with my heart.

Love_XYZ you are right thank you. I started from the part I messed up again. I lost a few power stones but it cant be helped.
I'm still at enough collections to be happy.

                          Thank you very much!
