Jap novels suck, they're boring, the characters piss me off, the world always seem small ( mostly because an all powerful god always seem to be given out cheats to random Summuvabitches, and the settings and characterization of all the characters are always generic and never well thought out or unique in any shape or form.

So my question is what drugs do i need to ingest to find this crap interesting or what soul demon do i need to sign a contract with to actually look over these abominations?

TYErannical NO need for drugs brother, you may have already watched a bunch of anime and some of them are also adapted from light novels.
The ones you have read may have come under the shitty tag, but there are much better light novels out there.
    Ovelord
    Konosuba
    The devils a part timer
    Monogatari series
and much more..... naming them would take a huge toll on me, besides, they are much better than most of the novels on this site(they are just a bunch of fillers most of the time or copy pasted stories from other novels. Few novels are readable for story among the CN's and they also suffers from overused plot armour)

It's the oblivious beta male MCs that drive me frickin insane. I don't mind that in some situations but dear god it's like there's a genetic imperative that causes Japanese authors to be physically incapable of writing any other type of character as the MC. Even more baffling because they often use a vast array of personality types for side characters and antagonists.

TYErannical I hate isekai harem ones, I say isekai harem because they have then dumbest reasons for the girls falling in love with the main character. Like "Oh, you bought me as a slave damn get in my lower mouth"

Overlord is a really good novel. It is my favorite japanese novel so far

TYErannical Seems like you are not reading the right novels...

Try 'Girl Who Ate Death' or 'Dragon's Bloodline' or 'The Death Mage That Doesn't Want A Forth Time'...

But korean novels are alot better in general compared to both chinese and japanese tbh. Like 'Dungeon Defense' or 'Book Eating Magician'.

...cause sometime japanese novels tends to tell everything and sometimes becoming too redundant. Even the movement of the characters hairs will be told in the story too much details leads to not focusing in the story, thats why sometime you get so bored.

Everything haw the good and bad side. Pipel plz, you have your own criterias, not all people think :')
Tbh, jap nov kinda... Hmm always copypaste and not original :'(
Cn nov, always repeatable, tend to explain thing or progress again and again every chap, always have higher realm haha
Kr nov, hmmm better maybe? Why? I think because the plot, they tend to try create something from somethin (?)

              TYErannical
Yeah ? For me, most of the time it's the unbearable, and disgusting claim stinking of the pride present in 80 % of the fiction Chinese... The typical murderer "i'm super poverfull and i have the right for killing anithing in my path" thing, you know ?
And to answer you: bed something different, all the novel are not written by immature teenagers, and it is enough to choose them better.

Ombrelongue exactly and when we finally get a hinese novel that doesn't have cultivation in it the novel is filled with how china is so great and how other countries are sht compared to it. I don't mind if you only praise China but why insult other countries as well?

[unknown] Amen brother. Those sissy eunuchs nearly drove me nuts I had to give up on them.

[unknown] give me titles of JP novels that you read. well to tell the truth every nation has its own trash novel.
even here there is junk novel but somehow people cant stop reading it, like LoHP. its like eating junk food. (i guess some people would be triggered)

I do have to say I'll always be grateful towards Jap Light Novels though because they're what first got me into reading web novels. I went from Anime (animehere.com) > Manga (mangafox and bakaupdates websites) > Jap Light Novels (baka-tsuki) > Fanfiction (fanfic.net) > Amazon Ebooks (finally got a job and could afford to buy books) > Korean Webnovels (LMS started me on this way back when Ninyave first posted the scans of book 1 to their blogspot) > Chinese web novels (spcnet.tv got me started here) > all kinds of webnovels (novelupdates)
