Usually you'd only need SS for the last 5 or 10 chapters but the last 5 I've looked at have HUNDREDS of chapters that require SS to read... what?

I just looked at one book, 100 chapters NOT locked behind SS stones, 8 HUNDRED chapters needing ~8 SS EACH to read... if I wanted to read the whole book (in less than 2 years waiting on free SS) then I'd have to pay over 120$ and that's just for ONE FREAKING BOOK!!!
No, I'm done, webnovel used to be great but now it's just gone insane with greed.
Oh, and I have spent over 100$ so far the past few months because I didn't step back and look at what I was doing. So, I was stupid but no longer will I waste so much damned money that will never go to the person who actually wrote the book.

CKtalon Not even Microsoft is as greedy to charge for every little chapter... 120$ for ONE book, and that's just so far what's been translated. I understood paying a few SS to get the latest few chapters but wanting SS for hundreds of chapters of each book? Yeah, no. There isn't a fiction book written that's worth that much from every person that reads it. That's probably 10s of thousands of dollars, per book.
Junkymagi Is it even possible to refund the purchases? Why don't you just keep the premium SS for gifts or for the future..?
Junkymagi tends to happen for newer books.
Depending on the title, early adopters get to read newer titles for free at times. Then the locking begins because it became premium or the series ended. In my experience the relock first happens at the end chapters then most of it is locked later on.
If you are a rereader, don't use this site.
