Hey guys!
I'm looking at forming a group of writers who get together and read/review each other's work on a consistent basis, in order to not only help each other improve skill-wise, but also serve as a quick and easy way to cross-promote each other's work to wider audiences.
Anyone interested in joining me on this little project? Here is how I currently envision it-
Once the group is created, we will have a group discussion thread on the forums for both chatting about each other's work, as well as sharing any useful feedback or tips we've learned about the writing process. This thread will also be used to occasionally promote the group's work to a wider audience.
Each writer who joins will agree to read and leave feedback on at least 3 new chapters by each writer in the group a week. This feedback can be as simple or complex as the reviewer desires, but the goal is to aim for positive and constructive feedback. Criticism is fine. Douchebaggery is not. Since I plan on the group remaining small, and most chapters on this site are short, this shouldn't take a member who takes the group seriously much time to meet this requirement each week.
Each writer, when they feel they have gotten a good sense of the story and the writing quality, will leave a starred review on the story itself, both to give the writer even more feedback on their work, as well as help the group's stories gain more attention.
The maximum people in the group as I currently envision it will be ten-twelve. Any member who falls inactive without explanation will leave an opening for a new member to join the circle.
If you're interested and willing to be involved and treat this semi-seriously, let me know in a response below!
