I'm tired of poorly written originals and translations. Which stories here actually have good grammar? Not passable, but actually good. It doesn't have to be perfect, because I know that would be too much to ask for this site, but it should at least have proper verb tenses, corrrect use of pronouns, correct use of prepositions, proper subject-verb agreement, and no questionable vocabulary (people here keep misusing "leisurely" and "wearily").

I wonder if any novel here would make the cut.

    I also feel sad about this situation, but there are many good novels out there like 'The Empress is Dead ' and 'Love Me Again Wife'. I am trying to write too. Though I have just started and the chapters are less but I assure you that the grammar and writing is fine. If you are interested then please check it out-

    Shamelessly putting forward my gems. I write to the young adult, fantasy and historical fiction genres with gay characters, so if you don't mind LGBT in the stories, you might enjoy mine.

    Zaldizko has gone through some extensive beta reads and revisions, so I was able to produce an eBook version earlier this year. This story is a young adult fantasy with magical realism. :smile_cat:

    To My Sunflower is currently in progress. This story has also undergone some feedback and revisions to a certain point. I intend to produce this story as an eBook later in the year. This story is a boys' love set in Japan, 1945 when the country was at war with the US. I've researched to write authentically as possible.

    I guarantee both stories are different to what is listed on this site.

      Sapphirechelsea237 I do have a lot of translations in my library, but unfortunately, most of them have barely passable grammar and one has to supress the compulsion to edit in order to enjoy these things. Hehe. That's a shame, considering those novels supposedly have editors already. If you do come across one that's pretty good, please post it here also.

          Sapphirechelsea237 your punctuation and grammar needs help. no offense, just stating straight facts. and this is solely from reading your synopsis. I can see at least six mistakes from there.

              I personally feel that "Gourmet of another world" is pretty good - definitely are some issues but for me it doesn't detract terribly from the story - I don't find them in every chapter either. However "it's not easy to be a man..." was fantastic by the first translator up to chap 450 or so. I haven't read the new translator but their work on some of the other novels has been pretty good and they are very regular with their updates. Hope you find some good ones that don't make you feel like you need to pull out the red marker and bleed over the story. :)

                Oh! thanks for pointing the mistakes! I just published it yesterday and I do not have any editor. Besides English is not my first language so based on my knowledge, I could come up with this.
                Though there may be some mistakes, but I still find it better than many of the other stories. ( I don't want to sound rude or anything)

                          The good grammar ones are Destiny Forged, My World To Live (mine lul), The Girl with Scars, Siren Song, and Angel Smile. I’ll be adding more recs later (just lazy), so feel free to check it out again later.

                          Also, I can also vouch for StenDuring and Veronica’s stories having good grammar.

                          But speaking of grammar, I find the most common mistake isn’t tense, but punctuation. Many forget correct comma placement or that semicolons exist.
