At the end of the day, what makes the readers smile, cry or get angry upon reading thier favorite story that is all that really matters, that story serve its' purpose. If you don't like the story then don't read it! Simple as 123! There is no such thing as good or bad story, only the reader can give a verdict on that specific story. Lame or not, just stay quiet and keep it to yourself. Because what is lame to you maybe good enough for others. One size can't fit all. Peace!

Lizabelle88 The point is that female MC suck a lot more often than Male MCs and there is less of them overall. So people interested in well rounded female MCs are having a discussion about it and helping each other find books that match their interest.
People who aren't interested in this discussion could, well, if they don't find this discussion interesting or useful--not read it. Like, stay quiet and keep it to themselves. LOL.
I don't know if every books with female lead suck on WN as I have not read many only a few but it's true that we have strong female MC but she immediately becomes docile when ML enters I guess it feeling of want to be pampered or loved . What I can surely say is there are heaps of Female lead books in QI and it's increasing a crazy pace and almost every one has basically same plot for heaven's sake please stop voting for new Female lead books like crazy every time u see the difference between new novels every week I suddenly feel wow so many female readers or Romance fans but then I remember that it's a daily task and many vote blindly I vote myself semi blindly I go male lead ones and give one vote to each novel 
Doomsday Wonderland/It's not easy to be a man/female cultivator. These novels boast of strong female characters that do not depend on men at all. In fact, Ling Lan from "its not easy to be a man.." Is so OP and heroic that all the male characters come off as weak next to her strength and intelligence. You have to sift through the cowdung to find the flower.

I recommend one novel with a very good and less annoying MC. The story is not available here in Webnovel. The title is Princess Medical Doctor . The MC was a talented, intelligent doctor but got transmigrated to ancient times. All throughout the story, she tries to maintain a longer life (since she died very young before) by using her medical skills to treat people and be useful and she only sticks to the ML because its the safest and only way for her to live longer lol. She's not clingy like the usual damsel in distress FLs. Even though she eventually loved the ML, she wouldn't hesitate to leave him because she knows that she deserves better. Don't mind the excerpts in the synopsis cuz it's irrelevant lmao.

Dontlookdown Imma just gonna be shameless and promote my novel, it's a chinese novel with an OP FMC, no romance coz I can't think of a ML since I've been bombarded with all these over-bearing ML novels which I am almost at my limits with after so few good ones with them MLs and so many disappointments and I don't really feel like adding an ML but my readers are asking for an ML so maybe in another 100 chapters

Phoenixalight I've just been giving my votes to the male novels. The female choices are absolute bullshit. I read to escape reality, so why the fuck would I want to read about a FL being forced into marriage and is simply a legal fucktoy to her 'hot CEO husband' I'm basically setting myself on fire for saying this, but Idc, part of the problem is some of the readers of these sort of novels. They need to reevaluate their views on true love. IT DOES NOT START WITH RAPE.
Chryiss Indeed. It also works the same way for the ML's protagonist which almost all them is either shameless, cold, a playboy. There's always a limit in everything, be it in stories or in real life. Readers often complain: 'Why is the powerful female mc become a rabbit in front of the male lead? Or why is the male lead so smitten and doted the female mc so much?'. So, should the male lead treat the fmc like the other characters in the story? Or should they treat her like friend? People's emotions and personalities has a limit, well that's only for the normal people but if you want a person with a unique personality might as well write a story with the main character that possess a mental illness.
I wont say every female mc is lame but I will say there are a lack of cool female mc's as compared to the male mc's at this point I get excited when I see a female lead novel with jst good grammar.
Just let me shamelessly promote my own story, in which the male lead does not turn up until Chapter 39..

Laptopboy Except guys donât get put through the ringer and go through any kind of abuse, including having their guy friends and even unborn children suffering itâŚonly to turn around and forgive them. If a guy was put through such a situation, he would get vengeance rather than easily forgive the female lead cuz âshe changedâ. The novels clearly have it out for female leads more than male leads. Because SIMPing for a female lead is understandable if you did her dirty in the past despite her SIMPING for you and/or she currently likes u back.

DragonTreasures Iâm sorry but it doesnât look like yâall r trying. They arenât some alien and they r a human who shouldnât be portrayed as some pushover. Yâall could at the very least get them to stand their ground against characters including against the male lead who wrong them and get revenge on them. And to get them to end up single or go for a new guy. Because yâall should know that no human, man or woman can put up with that. So being a human, idk how u think that a woman could just put up with a bunch of bs and abuse and not do anything or just forgive. Is it that hard to portray a woman with self respect? Really?
