chery_cabral Lel actually I write for a very niche audience (BL that too action horror and barely any romance.) So yeah I am lucky that I was able to earn. I hope that you will soon be able to have a large audience and make money too

chery_cabral I wouldn't exactly say that. I was on hiatus for a few months but I made more than MGS (200$) every month so it wasn't a problem for me.
If you've signed a contract with Webnovel then you can log in to your inkstone account on PC and check the income tab. There you'll see how much money you've made. If it's higher than 200$ then the money will be deposited into the bank account whose details you've given to webnovel. I'll remind you again that premium is only for contracted authors.
[unknown] I know three very highly successful authors on this platform. They are ML authors and are always on the too ranks. None of them are from America. One of them is from Asia and the other two from Europe. I doubt what you're saying about successful authors being American.
I myself am a seli successful author and I do make more than 200$. The tax and bank fees aren't that high. This depends on the country and bank that you use.[unknown] 4k words, I believe.
MayDreamer MGS starts when you go premium. You sign the contract and then your CE will send you a form that you need to fill up. Its nothing complicated. Just the name of your book and when you want to go premium. You send off the form and premium takes effect on your chosen chapter.
ALSR Signing a contract doesn't guarantee you a salary forever. If you sign the exclusive contract, you'll get 200$ per month for 4 months (regardless of whether your book makes a profit or not) IF you release at least 1.5k words every day for that month. Webnovel doesn't force you to write 1.5k words per day. It is up to you whether you want that 200$ or not. This 200$ is called MGS and it'll be effective for four months after you go premium. During the four months of MGS, IF you make a higher amount than 200$, you'll get paid whatever amount is owed to you.
After four months of MGS, you'll only get the amount that your book makes. This amount depends on how many readers pay to unlock your chapters with coins bought by money. FP and free coins won't get you any money. Some people make no money after MGS, others make thousands of dollars. It depends on your ability to write.
As for the non-exclusive, I didn't sign it so I can't help you.Yi_Xi speaking as an author with some experience on webnovel, I can tell you that most of us go for 1000-1100 word chapters. Publishing two such chapters per day is better than one 2000 word chapter in the long run if you're contracted.
[unknown] If you look carefully, you can see authors exchanging castles with each other. I can't even blame them though because Webnovel created such an environment and they're doing what they have to in order to stand out. But it does create resentment in people getting annoyed by the notifications.

When readers leave, why do they tell it to the forum?
When a tree falls and there's no one to hear it fall, does it make a sound? This webnovel reader is the tree who wanted someone to hear the sound of it falling. Goodbye tree. minitubeman Forgot the name of the book but the author's name is Argas. FL cultivation novel without romance.

ricfi_yanto Gold tickets aren't online yet. Maybe next week they'll open it up for use.
kawai_stine They haven't taken the golden tickets online yet. Maybe they'll roll it out next week.
Winter_Azalea All I know is that you can give it like a PS to your fav book. It will help the book be more seen and get popular. You get a golden ticket for spending an x amount of coins every month on unlocking chaps and gifting to books.

KitKatxKK Less than that. Around 40% I think. But it isnt webnovel taking all of it. Around 30% goes to google/apple.
They aren't recruiting from there anymore.
