i mean, dis novel is a very good read for all new readers and veteran readers alike. So wahts up with the 2 chapters per week? HELL its not even 1 chapters in 2 weeks at at this point. Hope qidian can replace this translator with another one since its taking a toll on my brain.

I know you're mad but please show some respect to the translator as he did his job because I know translating is hard :)

Ventus_Hikari Tertium You can't use that excuse when money got involved.
And no, I'm not looking down on the translator or even blaming them. Unexpected things can happen in life.
But, just like the OP said, if you really can't do it properly (for whatever reason), why not give it to someone else?

Tertium I disagree, if you know both Chinese and English translating isn't hard and this translator is either lazy, uninterested in translating or lacks free time IRL, either way i think the novel should be picked up by someone else, these are paid translations and should be held to a higher standard and free fan translations.

Mute Yeah, like i said, since money got involved here, the translation quality and stability should be better.

Noo... Firstly, they need powerstone to rls the translated... Thats why the tlr ask you for some vote, (i think..(

Mute f5_sect_noob I think in this case Qi side will be the one who decide it. after all I think they should discuss about the release rate before translating right ?

Tertium Of course it was discussed and decided between QI and the translator. QI will pay the translator, and the translator need to fulfill the quota and quality of the translation that being agreed upon. And in this case, the released chapter keep getting less and less, so that's why he/she (OP) here complaining about it.

f5_sect_noob or maybe the TL is waiting someone to replace him/her, that's why it released so little chapter each 2 weeks?

Mute Seconded..... Translating isn't that hard, but it does take time. Although I know Chinese is a much harder language but I still know Spanish and can easily translate any english chapter into spanish within 30-40 minutes, I expect it takes at least an hour if not two or three hours to get a lengthy chinese chapter translated, but no matter how busy you are IRL you definitely can spare an hour or so each day and maintain a 3 chapter a week release rate.

Personally I think Qidian should to try to enforce for any novel a 7 a week average, a 5/week minimum, and push for the gold standard to be 14/week. Of course I always welcome more, but I tend to dislike less.

Leylin_Farlier Yeah, even putting 2 translators on the same project would help, i'd rather fewer novels with high sustained release pace rather than have so many novels with few chaps/week.

The problem is that the original translator is going too slow and has gone MIA. The new translator that has been assigned needs a glossary.. Which obviously isn't obtainable because the original translator is MIA.

So it will take some time.

Also having multiple translators only makes things worse. Already proven and tried before.
