English is not my mother tongue i'm sorry if it's bad, well, i'm writing this to show my discontent, QI. from the beginning you started licensing the most popular novels, and great for me, you would give translators and writers something more formal, but lately you care too much about novels you don't have, to the point that you've neglected those you already have.
"the second coming of avarice" is the last novel that I found out you have licensed, a great novel for my taste, in addition to the quality of translation is great, and I'm afraid to think about what you're going to do, should worry about the novels they have and take advantage of them, you have for example:
- apocalypsis meltdown" that doesn't have a translator
- "Otherworldly Evil Monarch" with a translation that is total crap almost TL,
- "I have a Mansion in the Post-apocalyptic..." which has a total lack of timetables for chapters.
among many others that are expenses of the stones, I am afraid to know what you will do with another of my favorite novels as "the second coming of avarice", I urge you to concentrate on improving the novels you already have, because you are not allowing others to continue them, and you either do not continue or give us a pitiful quality, that's against the readers, I think there will be many discontents like me here and we still use your service because you have the novels we like, but we can read them on pirate sites, and we come to webnovel only because here we can support the authors and translators, this is my call of attention to you QI.

santier I think they now have a policy for not contracting single translators, so all translators need to be in a studio. This may be good for continuity that you ask for, but it ofc doesn't work that way as they just keep adding new novels and stretch the work force. I have also noticed the quality drop after the single translators were forced to join a studio. Alot of novels that still had decent translation started getting strange flactuations in translation quality. My speculation is that the studios are pushing for fast translation, but since the original 'quality translator' can't keep up with the new rate the studio pushes, they fill some of the chapters with random translators. Thus the quality flactuations in many novels that had good translation quality. Some of the novels like Legendary Mechanic have chapters that look like mtl, and then the next chapter looks fine, then again looks like mtl few chapters later etc. Shitty corporate system with little to no supervision made this site into a garbage fire. Translators don't have passion for the novel they are working on anymore. I guess they can't have it even if they wanted to with this kind of working environment. They don't even interact with readers anymore as far as i can see. They have mostly become unreachable corporate drones. I honestly don't want this site to grow any more than this and burn everything. I miss the era before webnovel. Sure, there weren't so many novels and the translation wasn't so fast, but who said we needed thousands of novels anyways? Most are pretty much clones of each other at this point. Doesn't seem like adding more would achieve anything but worsen the quality of the existing ones...

N0xiety I totally agree, many novels began to decline in quality as you say, and others just stopped being translated, I was not aware of this new policy, and I hope that instead of spending money licensing popular novels of the "competition" (individual translators), QI begins to fix the defects that are hurting us, as I said before we come to read webnovel not because we have no other options because we have pirate sites, we come because we want to support both translators and authors, instead of having to take out a novel per week and license each novel you see, readers would feel better if you reduce the amount you start to translate and concentrate on those that already has the site, thus improving quality, improving continuity, filling the holes of some novels that are running out of translator, you give us a better experience and we can gladly pay for that.

I hope that many more people come and comment, so we could have some more voices to get QI, maybe some resources to improve the translations in the case of Legendary Mechanic, I get tired of giving him 1 star every time I see a chapter similar to MTL, and I do not see a comment from the translator or anything for a long time, before each translator was willing to burn a little eyelashes to give some quality and have a set schedule and we paid him via paypal or patreon, and if they did not do well because they simply stopped paying, at the beginning of QI they could still keep the patreon and therefore the quality was maintained, but since they were forbidden to have payments out, they are paid the same if they do a good job as if not, and instead of complying with a decent quality they are made to comply with a release rate which translators begin to decrease quality by winning quantity, and as there are not many and the novels are piled up as you say simply falls both quality and quantity.

An example of a good thing is Endless Path : Infinite Cosmos an original novel, when most original novels became premium many dropped their quality, therefore the votes dropped but this one I followed from chapter, when I created their patreon, has been months with a patreon rate of 700 dollars average (from 500 first month to 800 now) and their quality of ideas, release rate, etc. is very good and the guy has to create the novel, the translators would take less time and I think they would gladly do it for that amount of money with good effort, but QI denies them, so at least QI should supervise their quality and continuity of those novels they have taken from the public.

santier Webnovel doesnt like the author of EPIC, as he gets alot of powerstones and hogs one of the top spots. So they flooded the top 10 Original novels with crappy CEO novels from bots with powerstones.

Why cos he doesnt earn money for webnovel. I hope the author uploads his chapters on more than one platform just in case.

Gamercat webnovel gives a platform for more users to access the original novels and that favors him, although I think he should also publish them on other sites to keep a safe, because who knows if webnovel wants everyone to be paid and that to publish also has to pay or become premium, since all their policies are in that direction, and regarding the top 10, I do not know what to think, on the one hand I also feel it is too "arranged" that some CEO novels are there, since there are so many that are only copies of it, but I could never be sure, because women are incomprehensible.... and they are the ones who vote for this... if you ask those of us who read for quite some time, we would say that reading just one is enough to know the rest and if we liked another one we would only do it for fun and I don't think we would vote much for them, sigth ...QI.

            a year later

Has anyone noticed another dip in their translation quality after QI's big update to the new pay system? Half the time I wonder if it is machine translated and then edited but someone to appear more "human translated" and smoother to read. There are certain phrases/slang that get translates to the literal meaning and not their intended meaning, which you often see in machine translations but would probably never see a human translator do.
If you want people to pay, you should put out stuff worth paying for.
