tittle You can begin with Lord Xue xing.. its a pretty old translated novel(has just came to Webnovel.com)and is a hallmark for all things xianxia(Written by IEatTOmatoes)... The MC is righteous and lovable and cares for his family and is righteous through and through!!
Along with "Forty Millenniums of Cultivation" THis novel is on Sifi side... the MC is a junk scrapper who fixes stuff and pays for his college from the money he obtains from those stuff. With a chance encounter he becomes a very versatile person who goes on to become the no 1 artificier in the world!!
Renegade Immortal(Xian Ni) The MC is righteous, he is a young bright lad with loving family who gets a chance to step onto the path to become an immortal, but this is all where the bright part ends as our MC has mediocre talent(as cliche as it can get) while he gets an item with an old grandpa in it.....
The thing is the old grandpa is not a good guy.. instead its a demon who whispers evil thoughts in the MC's mind... but even going through that and losing those most precious to him(P.S. even his life in the case) he starts getting decisive. Understanding how the world works.
This is a great story if you love character development adn the MC's love for his parents!!.. But in this bloody world, his filial piety will only drag him down.

I would like to say... most of the novels I have mentioned are not focused on Romance albeit them having Romance tags and this case is true in 99% novels written by male that are translated here, even if you find some novel that you think have good romance and their is chemistry between the MC and the Love Interest... it will end u in Harem with new introduction of similar characters that act nothing more than trophy.. I would suggest to stay away from those stuff!!
This isn't here on Webnovel yet but it's also from Qidian (which is quite a shocker, since I thought it's from a different pub)-- "Chronicles of Primordial Wars". All 844 regular chapters are already completed in lnmtl.com.
The MC is transmigrated to an ancient primitive world, in the body of an orphaned child. It chronicles his growth and endeavors to bring his tribe back to its former glory. It's more sedate and easygoing most of the time; it has a 'slice of life' of tag in its novelupdates genre and no romance at all (some readers begged to disagree, however, and contested that there IS romance--if you squint really, really, really hard, I guess). It's my current favorite, mainly for the lack of arrogance and overbearing personality of the MC. I also like the setting very much: magical beasts competing with them for dominance in a primordial jungle, set in a world undergoing prehistoric geographical and atmospheric changes.
