  • Yes! Let TKA card deck stay. And return my comics card deck-- they're pretty to look at, too.

    • uhm... what do you mean "similar to wattpad"? i don't know a lot apps na hindi medyo trashy, pero sites, just try yung sa https://noink.abs-cbn.com/ ng abscbn, tapos yung iba pang mga publishing houses na medyo popular, tulad ng sa precious pages, at saka yung iba nilang imprint na may sariling website kung saan ka pwedeng magpublish ng sarili mong story at magbasa na rin ng story ng iba. pero tbh, walang kakwenta-kwenta talaga karamihan. as in WALANG KAKWENTA-KWENTA. lalo na yung sa kajeereets na psicom app na napakadami sanang stories from different genres na napakalaki ng potential pero walang maayos na platform dahil nga sa napakawalang kwenta nilang sites.

sa international naman, try tapas, radish fiction, at saka inkitt--pero karamihan ng works may paywall, bilang pagpapahalaga na rin sa dugo at pawis ng mga creators, writers, at artists. with apps. you can post your own works.

how about for reading manhwas? webcomics, lezhin, webtoons-- hindi lahat free. with apps.

for reading ulit, kung may kindle app ka sa mobile, you can download a lot of free ebooks rin sa online store nila. karamihan mga self publish, yung iba nga galing pa ng wattpad. you can check this subreddit/s from time to time: https://www.reddit.com/r/FreeEBOOKS/ at https://www.reddit.com/r/bookdownloads/ --> legit yung mga ito, hindi illegal downloads XP marami rin sa smashwords.

royalroadl sa mga works na katulad ng ilan dito sa webnovel, litrpg madalas. you can also post your own works but mas strict sa site na ito.

infernez. hindi naman sa "unique" yung wattpad, pero these days, sila ang may pinakamaraming readers. yung iba kasi mga bata pa lang, mga kailan pa lang nailabas. like webnovel, na 2 years pa lang.

      WHEW! dami kong tinayp.

      • caffeinefocus NOPE. Scratch my previous reply. The ending was vague (according to other reviews in both NU and Webnovel) and I'm only at Ch 284. I don't mind promiscuous characters, but HAREM is a no go.

Ugh. Link, don't you dare disappoint me now (>_<)

        • I read a review with SPOILERS somewhere-- novelupdates, probably-- that Link will end up with only one girl, though, a lot of other female characters do have feelings/ will fall in love with him

          • The Modern Cinderella prompt really fried my brain with nothing to show for it. Entertainment Industry is kinda ~meh~ for me, but I'm feeling really inspired right now so I'll do my best to churn out the plot for the 'Evolved Beasts in Another World' prompt and finish writing the prologue, at least

            • XxWUUNUxX Wow! You definitely should write it! It's going to be different and absolutely unique.

Same with LetThereBeMagic, I also hope that there'll be no blood and gore, or at least not too much of it. Of course, if it's something you want to add to your story, it's still up to you ;)

              • LetThereBeMagic Thanks! I'll use this next time, especially as I have this bad habit of using names that start with the letter 'A', which is also the first letter of mine, to name most of characters. This will help curb this habit, at least.

MasterRabbink Maaan, it feels like you've been at this writing thing for years. You've already developed your own methods to aid you with the basics.

                • Water0202020 This is what I did, lols. I've been recording the names of the MCs in the novels that I've been reading lately and eeny meeny miny moed my way through them.

                • I love those! Horror (paranormal) is one of my most read genres these past two years, but I seldom find some that I like in Chinese and Korean novels.

As @SweetsTomato said, there's not a lot of them available yet. You can write it as a true story nonfiction type, or you can use it as an inspiration for an original story.

Good luck with your writing! :)

                  • MasterRabbink Yours is a great idea! Stability of updates, as well as commitment to the novel, is something that needs to be greatly promoted by Webnovel and they really should add that as a requirement in their contests. I find that original webnovel entries in the recent contest/s are mostly written as just that-- contest entries. Of course, I have no problem with it if it's a "seriously written" one, and not something that will be completely abandoned or unupdated for ages once the contest ends :(

                    • I hope that the next contest will add the minimum word count and/or the number of chapters to required to qualify or something.

                      • That was the impression that I got when I first saw that cover, lol. Really bait-y for those who're into that kind of stuff (like ME).

                      • A bit Japanese anime-like and feels like somebody's fanart and not a "proper" cover.

                        • I'm writing a futuristic story with a transmigrated male protagonist. This was supposed to be my RTW fanfic entry but decided against posting it with this tag and proceeded to write it as an Original. I've encountered a problem, though: my brain couldn't seem to let go of the name "Cheng Yan" as the protag's name from his previous life.

I've already changed the Roland Wimbledon to Adrian Miralia but I couldn't think of a name to replace "Cheng Yan", so haaalp...!

Name generators and online baby name dictionaries helped me name the secondary characters (including those for my other stories) but they never seem to help in naming my main characters.

I just need a plain and ordinary name that kinda screams "plain and ordinary"-- but not something that's too common.

P.S. No weirdly and/or aesthetically spelled or sounding names, please. Ex. Eryk

Yes, I know that it's a name that will only be mentioned in Chapter 1, BUT STILL.
                          SuggestionSSS are greatly appreciated.

                          • I'll probably die early, lol. Fruits and veggies will work for me for a while, and other food that can be eaten raw or that can be made "legally", i.e., cook it in a way that is not in the predefined way of "cooking". But . . .

. . . why would cooking be made illegal though?

Will starting a simple fire cause a massive explosion because of some substances scattered in the air that was brought about by an impact event of a meteorite hitting the earth, causing a cataclysm that ravaged the lands and seas and decimated a great part of the population of the world, from whence sprung an apocalyptic society without electricity, and also, one that cannot use fire????

---is what my mind came up with. I guess I'll have to read your novel and see the idea behind this thread XP

                          • Hmmm... For something that can make for longstanding enemies, how about an enmity between clans that started in the time of their ancestors? The type of hatred that's almost engraved in their blood because both of their ancestors had greatly suffered from the hands of the other, and there's definitely betrayal involved somewhere-- though who betrayed who was not really known since both ancestors thought that the other betrayed them. So the descendants of these two ancestors from MC's clan and rival clan were constantly having bloody and fatal fights with each other and it's only during the MC's father's generation or the MC's generation, that the more fatal fights had become few and far between. It's been years since anyone from both clans have been wounded so badly that they're close to death. Unbeknownst to MC's clan, the rival clan had actually allied themselves with a very powerful backer, someone who has the potential to be one of the MC's more powerful enemies as well. A great part of the rival clan's force was actually sent some place and they haven't been back for years doing god knows what. That's the primary reason why there's not a lot of fights going on. But when they came back, it became obvious that their strength has grown considerably that not a lot from the MC's clan can be a match to them. This definitely threatened the MC's clan because the rival clan's plan for them was total annihilation-- that their clan be completely erased from the history of the world that no matter who searches for what's left of them, they could never be found.

The younger generation of the rival clan was always at odds with the MC and his "team", though they hadn't really come to blows yet. The MC didn't really care about this enmity as he's of a mindset that it has nothing to do with him (maybe later he'll care about it more once he learned about the previous glory and history of their clan, especially the part related to that particular ancestor). It began to change when the rest of the rival clan's members returned.

MC can make money by selling banned/illegal stuff he made/invented. Cursed objects? A beautiful mind-control pair of exquisite jewelry that lets one control the other possessor of the pair for a specific amount of time, for example. Or a small mirror that can trap a wandering or maybe evil spirit (only one spirit per mirror because MC's ability is limited) and then have it haunt someone and suck their life force out until they get weaker and weaker and then die.
As for how the MC can make these cursed objects, it's probably a special ability of his that he inherited from his mother (who's either dead or had left). He's constantly tormented by the aftereffects of this ability as it makes him more vulnerable to negative forces (or something) and is also one of the reasons why "being good" is kinda difficult for him.
