Madam Ru,
The author of It’s Not Easy To Be a Man After Travelling to The Future went on hiatus many times this past year and a half. And I’m pretty sure she’s lost interest by now. She continued writing it a bit around the beginning of the year bt then it just stopped.
I’m sure she explained the reason more in Chinese in Weibo but I don’t understand it.

Webnovel/Chidian International is promoting the story heavily here and I absolutely LOVE the novel.
But it’s a CRIME to promote something so good and get so many people invested only for it to never be finished. I bought every single chapter already. I don’t want to be disappointed.
Is there nothing Chidian or Webnovel or even us readers can do about it? I support her continuing the story 100%.

Kinda sad that we will never see Ling Lan as a girl in public. Hopefully, it gets more support and she will write more when the translation gets closer. But you know 1 chapter a month ain't really much when there is another +1000

If that's the case, why did they put the book in privilege. Why not just continue to release it one per day or mass release. They shouldn't give us readers any hope. It's like they're just going to keep on milking the novel since it's on a long hiatus and don't know if it will be continued or completely stopped. I want the translators to give us any info about the real condition of the author. I really love the novel but I don't want to continue hoping that this will completed.

CKtalon Thank you for giving us info about the author. I just can't help but feel hopeless since I don't know what's going on anymore. I don't want to feel devastated again after knowing the story I loved so much stopped continuing without any explanation.

Oh yeah ....! Ouffff ..... i was afraid .... shocked 🤯..... almost die when I read this topic ....😱😱😱😰😰😰😢😢😢😢 don’t scare me ....
Thank you for the clarification 👌👌👌😰😰😰😰
I really LOVE HER WORK 😍😍😍
I got the fright of my life 😑😑😑

Clowniac well it has been more than a year since an update so most people are worried. Especially with the translations coming close. People don't want to waste time on a dying ship. it'll be heartbreaking. huhu

Azzack I'll be reposting the comment I found in the other thread.

I'm curious if author have recent post and here it is December 13 2019

            Author's Weibo Post

In December, there were so many bad things weighing on my mind which disrupted many of my plans.

I have been thinking about updating but I have no time to implement it.

After reading your comments, I only dare to read them and not promise because there is no guarantee.

After several times of failing to live up to my words, I began to doubt myself. Is it really impossible for me to continue?

But I don't want to. I love my characters. I want to give them a satisfying ending.

Furthermore I still have a lot of ideas that I want to write.

I'm such an irresponsible person who will not take action. What can I do to save me?

Scold, I'm ashamed to scold the best

            There are three results:
            1. Be brave after knowing the shame, cheer up and start again.
            2. Thoroughly go down hill and directly end the book.
            3. Hesitate and dragged the book half dead.

Well, it seems that it is useless and you have to rely on yourself.
Ah, Ling Lan, please give me strength!

After that author wishes a Happy New Year. Above is only machine translated. No worries maybe Author would come back and give it an end.

Azzack I’m hoping Madam Ru would at least give Boss Lan an ending, I stopped reading when I discovered the hiatus of author. What chapter is translations now?

Yeah... I can’t help but worry about it since I first came to know about the hiatus...
As someone who doesn’t know what problems the author is actually facing but now knows she doesn’t want to give up on the novel I can only hope she can find a co-writer to help her to put all those ideas on paper... even if to only give the story a well deserving ending.
I also don’t know what are Webnovel’s policies in those cases where a contracted author can’t bring themselves to keep writing (for the many reasons they may have, I mean, they are humans and we get it) their novels. It’s complex, after all there is some kind of responsibility in finishing a novel as well.
Hey @CKtalon is there any means to suggest the approach of having a co-writer in those cases? The author could act as an editor? I don’t know a better term to use.. and work together to deliver it’s ideas on the novel till they are able to finish it? Maybe that could diminish the authors troubles a little and help so the novel doesn’t end um dropped or rashly finished?
As I said, I don’t know how or to whom suggest this or even if it’s really viable... as a reader and someone who tries so sympathize with the authors i wish something could be done about it. It must feel even worse being a writer forced to give up (for any reason) on a work than having a novel you are a fan of being dropped.
If it is viable, maybe it can be applied to the contracted originals as well since all writers can face problems like these. I feel it could be discussed with authors that end up having long hiatus but still have a desire to see the novel finished and think is a shame to just drop it.
