Hmm, I'm a bit wary of taking a bite since eight chapters is nowhere near what's needed for a proper review. At least one of the big four is going to be lagging behind (or rather one of the three since language can be gauged after a page or two).

Given that you'll want to establish one, or possibly two, of the three at the cost of the other(s) early on, why putting out your work for the grinder this early?

I believe I'm up to some fifty or so reviews on this site. They're basically all modelled the same way to mitigate the horrid way reviews are handled here. Oh, and I write one review per story, even though some moron in power decided you can't edit them later on. Hence my question if you really want one this early.

      SJoarder Well my chapters have greater length than average (I think), like at least 1600 words, some are up to 2000 words, so it will be longer than it seems XD It's just I have too many ideas and i dunno which one to really use, so I'm down for the swap. In need of some insights. 😈

          Run as many of mine as you like (or dislike). You're unlikely to get a proper feel for the characters until chapter 30 or or so since I'm running with an ensemble cast with each one given PoV:s.

              Fiona_Singer I'll start reading it tomorrow, here's mine, Duality.

              The beginning is a bit rough, as it's my first time writing. Preferably, I'd ask to begin from Chapter 17 - Defeated as I changed my writing style starting with this one.

              From this chapter onwards is a flashback from the MC's mother POV, so you'll be able to understand it even without reading the previous chapters.

                  Fiona_Singer I would really like to try this out, but I have one question.

                  Are you going to state constructive feedback? Sure you can be very brutal in the review, but there's a fine line between hurt and advise.

                  Eg, when I did one of these, the reader just called it boring and then left it. Not really quite fair.

                      I understand your worries, but because I've been a writer for a long time (on other platforms in China) and I've been through all of the phases you guys are going through, so I understand the difficulties of writing and won't get too full of myself and judgy even when it's a rather jerky work. The only thing that can probably get me so angry that I will start going frenzy is those (again) vulgar, tasteless novels that have no originality at all but only exist to satisfy some childish, nasty fantasies (which is 99% of the front page promotions like), for I cannot even sense a spark of inspiration and love of their own work, as if they are treating their novels like sex toys and selling them merely for popularity and profits :<
