  • Do we get to keep the IP of anything we post to Webnovel?

Usually you'd find a FAQ or some fine-print article detailing your rights when you publish to a website, but I couldn't find any on Inkstone.
Do we keep sole ownership of any intellectual property that we publish on this platform? Or would it be like in China, where Qidian takes ownership over the material? People need some answers from Webnovel staff(because I'm surely not the last person who will raise this question).

If Webnovel wants to attract young amateur fan fiction writers, they can continue being vague about this, but if they want to attract writers who put more thought into their stories, they need to lay out all the terms and conditions.

It's called contract and both sides must sign it. Chinese guys get offer to do it only after novel become popular or get enough chapters. Without contract all IP belong to author.

Thank you for the answer. I just wish there was an official FAQ that lays all this out clearly.
