I never catch up to such a "wall". I always start reading a novel and before I come near the translated "wall" I drop the novel because I found another novel which interests me more.
That's also why I have 2100+ SS only from LogIn and voting. It seems I will never get rid of my SS.:smile:

WEBNOVEL_OFFICIAL Is there a way to choose to hide the locked chapters? I usually read offline, and accessing these chapters always moves my bookmarked spot several chapters into the locked chapters. And I can't unlock them offline.

Just to clarify so premium users can read ALL novels for free, all the time. Premium for free novels means that ordinary users have to spend Spirit Stones to read, but what about premium novels NOT for free? Are ordinary users not allowed to read those?

Qiaolu I bet viewing ads is limited. like 10 ads is 10 spirit stones which is equivalent to less 5 chapters of novel series.
I still don't understand this system fully. Is the locked chapters still unlocked after a few days like now? or they will forever locked until we use spirit stone to unlock them?
Is premium chapters same with locked chapters like now? so, even if i'm a free user, i can still read the locked chapters after a few days? or i will get behind the translations for hundreds of chapters if i never use my spirit stone?
And where i can see the price to become premium member?

DaoistBashful there are no premium users as far as i can tell u just use SS to unlock premium chapters. They might add an option like that in the future tho would be a nice option for some people

Tomz They will be unlocked on a schedule. As of now, free chapters are unlocked daily. Yes, it's best you use your spirit stones since they expire.
You can click on your Profile at the top right hand corner on the desktop website and click Get More. Simply using Spirit Stones (free or paid) to unlock chapters makes you premium.
Tl;dr this is basically just patreon for a couple of novels that you can pay using ss right?

TrueImmortal fam there is no free lunch this was coming sooner or later the only question was how hard were we gonna get shafted and with the them still releasing free chapters alongside the extra premium ones i didnt get shafted as hard as i expected.

queenofkahel yea i am not the biggest fan of qidian i still think they have problems that need to be fixed but this a good step in the monetization direction imo not nearly as bad as the whole paywall meme that everyone was expecting.
Basically this is no different than advance chapters for patreon supporters. The chapters per week stays the same. Release that witch, for example, have a premium of 10 advanced chapters locked behind SS that they released just now. Stop being so greedy, you have no spirit stones? Like I said stop being greedy and wasteful and actually manage your spirit stones.
All these complaints about a company being greedy while taking things that are free for granted, seriously? Have you been transported in another world and saved it or became one of those chinese MC and reached apex? That's why you have this ginormous amount of entitlement for more freebies? lol. If you really wanna complain about how they are trying to monetize things, blame those that started donations for translating. Anyways, I appreciate qidian trying to at least remain balanced. Giving more freebies for those who wanted to support their site and giving a bit of freebies(daily SS, watch ads option) for those who can't spend money.
For people who keeps on giving foreshadowing/fear mongering like nostradamus "this is just the beginning" "oohhhh you should be afraid now". I'd say: You don't stop trying to live just because you're going to die later now do you? Stop being bitter and move on, perhaps you'll appreciate the little things that are already there, instead of lusting for more.
