Hey! There's a couple of ways to 'win a contract.'

The first requirement is that you MUST have 50,000 words written on your novel.

Make sure you have quality and consistent chapters. (Shouldn't be a big deal)

Once you have followed those requirements above, you can send an email to writershelper@webnovel.com and request to sign a contract.

Another way is that a content-editor may take the initiative and send a message directly to your email or Discord so you can sign a contract if you wish

Ah thank you for addressing this, I totally forgot about the inclusion of fan-fics.

Fan-Fic cannot be contracted due to copyright issues, however if your novel is successful/popular enough, WN can open up the "gift function" for you, so readers can send gift in appreciation of the AUTHOR writing. (Keep in mind, not the book, the author.)

If the gifts were sent using paid spirit stones, you will be sent money based off the value of gifts earned.

    Good to know! Thank guys!

it's not necessary that it's 50,000 words. 30,000 words is the first requirement. you also need to have good update schedule.if you do get a contract go through it all over again. it's really not as bad as people say. i was close to signng one my self for my novel
      chasing a tsundere lord
but i turned it down since i didn't have anything that could prove my identity yet.
some people say one must have about 200 or 150 chapters but thats not true at all.
you could have 50 chapters but have written 30,000 words and you can apply. you don't need to worry about popularity issues if webnovel likes you story, even if it's only 5 stone yolu get in a week, they can offer yo a contract.
      that's it.

stella2138 SinB was right, it's 50,000 words, stable update, and the rank must be 350 and higher.

@Daoist836587 You can apply for a contract through this google form (posted on the Inkstone discord server): https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSchNZTTmOK7vz3cOrrtcm0rFKXT6PIgIZ-7CaT6ZonB_leg3w/viewform

If you have any questions about the contract, you can find them here; https://docs.google.com/document/d/17BiltZicKEOhbLSS6utEd6kahv7_-0QI2dBky5x0R-g/edit

SinB what if it's already been a month or even more than that and you still haven't heard back????

Xincerely generally that's what they say but i still stand that it's 30,000 words most necessary if one plans to write 100,000 words.but let's not fight about this. 50,000 and 30,000 words are both right. i don't have much questions about it since i've seen it. i'm waiting to sign it next year. well, when i was offered a contract my rank wasn't even 7000. i'm telling you,if your novel really has potential webnovel will give it a chance. i was really surprised when i got the offer i applied just for play. i hope i won't be impaled by webnovel for this.
well, sinb and i are correct.let's all work hard at each of our novels and enjoy being shameless in promoting our novels

Tomoyuki that's like ants. i got a reply after a week. what i suggest is if you continue writing, editing,be free. if you've waited so long and still no reply,go through your novel again and be shameless once more.

stella2138 you know that you're probably tricked, no? wait.. you asked for a contract and they told you to wait?

dang, dude. i think you were indirectly rejected.

Tomoyuki I applied for mine on 30th July! Then I waited and waited after three weeks I finally asked them about it! I got a reply that they are still observing the stats. And that they do ki the novel and all! I don't know what are they waiting for

dumdum007 They do look at the stats to see whether it's a feasible thing or not for your novel to be contracted. If the stats are too low, and they still do the contract, you may be disappointed or angry when you're not making money.

For example, I got an answer for my novel within a day, while another author friend of mine took two weeks. When she asked, she got the same answer as you. She worked on her novel more (get more exposure, votes, and collections) and then managed to get the contract in the end.

Reinesse ERR I GUESS YOU DIDN'T GET ME. THEY SENT ME AN EMAIL WITH THE CONTRACT-OFFER BUT I REJECTED IT IN THE END. THEY DIDN'T REJECT ME

stella2138 sorry, was confused. i though you said you asked for it then they told you to uodate daily and edit and stuff.
