Anyone know how chapter ratings affect the total rating of a novel or if they have any use? From what I noticed we don't get notified when someone rates a chapter, or maybe I am not looking in the right place.

If anyone has any information please let me know.

    I didn't think it changes or affected anything at all, might just be there to let the authors know the quality of the chapter..

        SinB That might be so but as an author myself, I could not find any stats representing the chapter ratings. I thought it might reflect somewhere to help me better understand which chapters were more appreciated but I can't figure out where they could be if it is the case.

          Oh. Is that so? And here I am, conscientiously giving stars to every chapter I read, hoping it will help the author. Seems to be an un-utilized feature!

            ealdgyth They might have some use, just not sure about it. I also rate chapters which I think were well written. if they have a use at least they help the writters, even if we aren't sure of how exactly.

                RCMich I hope someone who has more experience with this will join our thread!
